Did an hour and got a dire wolf assembled. Not too bad for an hour for me, as I am rediculously slow.
Might get more done later, when the wife has gone to sleep.

Ok, logging back on. Wife is now asleep, so I am setting up in the kitchen to do some more assembling.
Going to try and go for a new technique to keep myself attentive and not get distracted.........will it work though?

Guys, remember, you're supposed to be posting photos. I believe--and Scarfester can answer this better than I could, since the rules for the Painting & Hobby Challenges are something that he created--that the photos are not just for verification, but also so that people watching can see your progress. It's part of the fun, seeing how people's armies progress, bit by bit.

Olorin is correct on both accounts. The photo's are there to verify what you have claimed to have done.
Also they are a good way of keeping the challengee and others motivated to get their own models, painted/assembled/converted etc. :)

I haven't posted a photo so far, as I have very little done. I will however try to post a photo of what I have done, when I stop now. This will be posted along with my line of information. This way Olorin has all of the factual information about my challenge so far and a photo of evidence, to back up my claims.

Mini update: - Now I have two dire wolves done and half of another one. Basically half way through the dire wolves I have to assemble.
I am listening to LOTR's on audiobook, via youtube to keep myself focused. ^_^
The first book has not even started yet. Still going through the pre-notes about the Hobbits, before the books start.

MUTATE - Ok its gone 1am now and I need sleep. 3 dire wolves are now assembled.
I will take an update photo tomorrow, as I can't keep my eyes open right now. -_-

By the way, using a computer clock as a background is kind of pointless, since it can say anything you want. I confess that I've always felt a little bit uncomfortable with the whole verification aspect of the Challenges, since we trust people for everything else, but as long as the rule is here and we're using it, you should use the very top of this thread as the background.

Meanwhile, if anybody wants to get into a discussion about whether we really need verification for Challenges, and if so how we should do it, that's a conversation that I'd be very happy to have.

I like the Before/After Pictures, but I think the Timestamp is pretty pointless. A date stamp is reasonable, but as you've pointed out, we're taking a member at their word for Painting vows, which tend to hand out far more points than these challenges do.

The only reason I can see for a real "timestamp" would be if we actually had a timed competition, ie. Sprue to TableTop Standard in the least part of time.

Hehe, I didn't tamper with the time..I promise

Yea, I guess if you trust in everything else, why not this? Surely the before & after pics prove that some work has been done & just leave it at that - I would only be cheating myself if I lied :P
