And signing out. Had three 30 minute breaks and of course my son was doing his best to distract me from painting... Anyways I started working on the horns, finished the blood effects, highlighted al boils did first layer on teeth and nails.

7,5 hours -1,5 hour in breaks = 6 hours of painting in.

Plan for tomorrow is to highlight the whole skin with nurgling green then glaze all the skin I want brighter green with waywatcher green applied pretty liberaly. After that I need to finish the horns, highlight the belly with mix of nurgling green and flayed one flesh and re-highlight all the boils of 7 toads with krieg khaki and flayed one flesh.... I get way more work done in the GW store but still it's alot of work..
If I get it done though it is quite a significant part of my daemon army finished.

I'm afraid I may as well just quit out from this one. I burnt myself out painting all week and now I can't be bothered doing anymore.

Have fun guys! ;)

Ok, I am going to stop now. Now 02:30 in the morning!
I got 4 dire wolves assembled and almost all of a skeleton warrior standard bearer made. Still got an arm to add to him and a shield, but thats it.

Going to go to bed now. Might do a bit more tomorrow morning, if the wife allows me.
Can't be bothered to do a picture this late at night, so will do one tomorro at some point.

Yep. I still work really slowly it seems!

It's taken nearly half the time, but the skeletons are now assembled. Once the glue is dry, I can prime. Once the primer is dry, I can start painting.

Sleboda, remember that you get one P.R.S. point just for 6 hours of painting, regardless of finishing anything, and 3 P.R.S. points for 12 hours. So you've earned the 1 point for time spent, and you're just half an hour from the 3 points. I corrected your standing above to read:

Sleboda: 11.5/0/1

Now, I think I'm going back to sleep....

Signing in, itīs 10:16 at the time I took this picture this means I have 7 hours of painting left for the challenge! It's a 20 minute drive to my local GW so this leaves me with only 40 minutes of breaks! Better get cracking!

Left 2 are what they need to look like at the end of the day.

Two thirds of the way through this and time for update #2.

I can pretty much tell at this point I'm not going to be getting anything completed, but I'm making a serious dent in the work needed to get this unit to the table.

I'm starting again, for a while. See if I can at least make it to 10 V.V.P.s.
Fnishing off the skeleton standard bearer first.

Bloody hell, you lot put me and my 45 minutes to shame :P

I've been rushed off my feet all week and just crashed yesterday. I think I'm going to call time on my challenge but at least it got me painting for the first time in weeks.

Well done everybody.

Sleboda, I hate to distract you from your painting, but you've got to look at the rules again. You get points just for time spent on painting/assembly, which means that you earned 3 P.R.S. points so far just for the time spent. This is your correct stat line:

There's this little thing called sleep deprivation that may be impacting my ability to keep the rules straight. :)

I did a little more. Got the skeleton standard bearer done and then made up a spearman, to take me to 10 V.V.P.s.
After that I had to rush off, because I promsed I would take the wife out. So that is the end for me really.

The photo is supposed to be showing Sleboda's last post. Screen was damn shiney though! <_<

This is going to have to do it for me. I have found myself almost shaking an open pot of paint, staring out the window at the pond for indeterminate periods of time, and generally not functioning.

I played around with some shield ideas, got on guy close to done, and made good general progress, but not nearly as much as I had planned.

With the stuff I assembled during the 24 hours, and the amount of time I ended up putting in (minus some for brain frozen periods of time), my final tally is:

Sleboda: 19\85\5

Thanks so much to the organizers and my fellow participants. 24-hour challenges are among my favorite parts of the hobby, and to have one with my name on it was pretty cool.

This is where it ends for me. Didn't manage to get done what I planned but at least I got 12 hours of very relaxed painting in.
