Okay, here is my black-primed Clanrat. Getting the white primer is proving to be more difficult than I thought, since the Army Painter warehouse appears to be out-of-stock, but I'm working on it. If worse came to worse, I suppose that I could use a dual primer method with their Leather Brown spray, which I have, and which is virtually identical to Calthan Brown. But of course, white on black would show up better than brown on black. Meanwhile, here is my model as it is now:![]() |

Skritik, you're done! Next time though try to go a little lighter on the white primer. The aim is to just dust the model and leave black in the recesses. Olorin, I'll mark you down as done too. Well done everybody and thanks for taking part in lesson 2! ONWARDS FOR LESSON 3! |

This is my clan rat Sorry its late but I only just got back ,the next stage looks fun. This is the first time I`ve used dual priming and I can see the benefits already,so even if the rest of the project goes breasts up ,I`ve learnt this much! ![]() ![]() ahhhhh they looked fine ,if these are no good I`ll re-shoot them |

No that's fine mate. That looks really good actually. You have left the dark in the recesses and just gave the model a light dusting. Well done Skaven Rich but I'm sorry I don't think I'm allowed to mark you down as complete this lesson as the deadline is missed. Ask Olorin and see what he says. |

The P.R.S. points given for the Master Classes are deliberately tiny:1 point for every 3 lessons completed, with fractions rounded down. Basically, we wanted to give some acknowledgement within the system, but it's not a major source of P.R.S. points and isn't supposed to be. (I'm not even going to add them up and calculate them until the entire course is complete, which will be months from now: carrying over fractions of a point from month to month is just way too much work for me. Better to wait until it's all done.) Mostly, it's a spur to people to get their lessons done on time. So while Skaven Rich might not be "done" in the sense of being marked down for the 1/3 of a point, if Hannanibal is happy, and Rich is set for the next lesson, that's all that really matters. In fairness, I am asking Hannanibal to remove me from the Lesson Two "Done List" as well. I haven't gotten my hands on white primer yet (it should arrive this Wednesday or Thursday), so my model is just sprayed black, and therefore not fully "Done" in terms of the 1/3 point. Really, being able to take this course is its own reward, and being able to follow Hannanibal and learn his techniques and tips is a great privilege. P.R.S. rewards are nothing compared to that. |

Olorin,I`m totally with you on that. For me its all about improving my painting skills (they definately need them) and without blowing teachers trumpet ,where else can we work with some one of this standard ,just doing it is enough for me to! |

Do you dual prime all your models or is it just this one because of the color scheme?? |
|
- Saniles I imagine that everyday the Great Horned Rat says to the Council of Thirteen... Good night council. Good work. I'll most likely kill you in the morning. | |

Anything that I want painted quick (tabletop/gaming quality) I prime with a Humbrol brown spray. Everything else gets twin primed. It makes painting an absolute joy and lets you try out loads of stuff that wouldn't work with a single prime. |
