If I had any white primer around I'd definitely be trying the twin priming, but if I don't get any before the next lesson, I'm going to take it the traditional route.

Right now my focus is on finishing my touchups on 2 Old old oooooold Ratogres for Bugeater next Saturday (which I think I'll be able to do).

Awesome! If only the next lessons are as easy as the last two... :)

Based on the photo of Hannanibal's finished model, I have a strong suspicion that the lessons are going to get a lot more difficult....

Just a quick question if you could Hannanibal. The method we have used for the black undercoating, is that one you use for all models? Ive seen first hand how complete the cover is, and think it would better than my previous rank them up and spray with a smooth passover.

As I'm currently pretty much drowning in work for university, I'm affraid I won't finish this step in time.
Is it okay if I try to catch up next lesson?

Finally got some free time to finish this step.

It looks like I may have been a bit heavy with the white.

@Furryblueelf. Yes, I use that method for all my black priming.
@ Jona. Of Course. No problem.
@ Rahotep. Yes, it looks very heavy but not to worry. It won't affect the finished paint job just the ease of painting. The problem with twin priming is you don't get much chance to practice over and over. I'll mark you down as complete :D

I have a problem: I had been 100% certain that I had a can of white Army Painter primer. However, looking in my bin of primers, it appears that I don't have it. I have Armoury Primer, which I should really throw out, since it's garbage, and a Skull White Citadel primer which I hadn't liked when I bought it, seven or eight years ago. In desperation, I tested the white Citadel primer, and it sprayed all over my hands. Therefore, my choice is either to send away for good white primer, meaning that I won't have completed this week's assignment, since I will just have primed the mini in black, or to undercoat it in Calthan Brown, which I have, but which isn't my first choice. If I order it now, the white primer should arrive by the middle of next week, which would leave me plenty of time to spray the white and then complete the next assignment.

Still, I'll leave it up to Hannanibal. Should I just photograph and post the mini primed black, and wait for next week to add the white, or should I undercoat it in Calthan Brown?

I would wait until you get the white primer then you can see the benefits of dual priming for yourself. Just show me the mini primed black so that I can see the coverage of it and then lightly prime it white when you get the primer.
Cheers.

Okay, I'll let it sit for a bit longer, and then photograph the black-primed model.
