The Timings seem fine to me as this is a project that if it's rushed it probably won't work. Having a nice space in between means a lot more thought can be applied rather than " I've only got 2 days to go syndrome " I'm not the most patient person in the world either so evenly spaced deadlines would stop me rushing in I certainly won't get bored or loose interest . I think I already have a character concept already Is the idea to post as we progress in order to bounce ideas of each other or just to post progress |

Skrits: Okay, in that case I guess we can leave the deadlines as they are for now (I guess they might change during the challenge if we all see the need for it). I think the various projects you've worked on (Epidemius springs to mind) are great examples of what I envision in this, so I'm sure it will turn out great. Hannanibal: Hurrah! Ratt Baron: That's indeed the thinking behind the spread deadlines. On your question: absolutely the first one. That's also the reason that every aspect is split in two (i.e. two separate painting deadlines), to make sure that you don't just post an end result before moving to the next stage, but on the other hand are forced to post at least one in-progress update about which everyone can give his ideas. Of course, this shouldn't be limited to the minimum of one update per month; the more progress is posted, the more feedback you'll get. The deadlines should just give some little stronger impulse to work on it, make sure everyone progresses more or less at the same rate and assure some decent quality updates which can later be compiled (for example for step-by-step guides for the tutorial section, as Skrits pointed out). |

If there is a whole month in between stages could we do a diorama or duel scene for our challenge instead? Maybe just a really scenic base? |

In all honesty, I don't really mind it too much which project you'd pick. The only thing which really is important is that the deadlines give you plenty of time to really take into account every aspect of your model. I picked character size because I thought that would allow for this kind of exhaustive design and not become overly complicated, but if you think you can spend the time (and with your experience and skill that's probably a lot less than for us mere mortals) to achieve this thoroughness on something bigger (like a diorama, war machine, monster or whatever), by all means go for it, I'd say. |

Allright let's get this show on the road then. Seeing as I already started my Coven Raider I'll do my Haemonculus Ancient conversion for this challenge.

I reckon I'll go for a grey seer conversion, the only components for which I'm sure I want to use are the cape and arms from the wizard in the hurricanum/luminark kit. On the subject of which, does anyone know what parts Tretch Craventail comes in? |

How do you want to do this Jona? New thread where we all post our projects? Seperate threads for various stages? Post here?

My project will be my most ambitious to date After reading `HeadTaker` recently I was hooked on clan Skryre`s crazy ways .One character in particular caught my imagination Warlock Fizqwik of Deathclaw So my project will be to model the Warlock Fizquik along with an assortment of crazy Skryre toys around him and on his person .On top of this he will be looking at an image of the `Horned rat ` through a "Far Skweaker" Skryres newest and most secret device, A rift type window which allows communication across vast distances ( as in stargate) The dice are cast failure is not a option ,sketches and parts sourcing to follow as and when . Insanity awaits |

I'll try to put up a new thread later this evening, in which all progress can be posted. I'll update the first post every now and then to link to the separate stages of every project. Like that we can have one pool with all discussions in it, and still keep it easy to navigate through or look up specific earlier works in progress. Or does anyone prefer it another way? |

Sounds good to me. Once it gets going you could put the sketches/concepts and a current progress pic for each participant in the first post too? I shall get working on my concept sketches, its been a long time since I tried to draw anything, think I was still at school... |

Great idea, Danbob87. The new thread is up, so any ideas or pictures go there from now on. Good luck all, I'm really looking forward to this!
