Whoop! First Vote. It was really tough, between the cracked ice basing on the doomwheel, the great smoke effects on the bell and the excellent shading on the hellpit. Good job to all 3 participants! --Cap |

3 really amazing entries and I'm 99% sure I know who's each model is, but I'm going to take my time on this one because they are all so good... Such a great forum we have here!

Yeah there are some hints that point at a madam :P. I really like the base to! I would love a tutorial for that! (Although the collage is a little bit crowded so it's a bit hard to see). I love how neat all three of them are :). Great entries! |

This was a difficult choice! Thought about which one I liked best - thought about it some more - voted - and regretted the vote a bit ... I guess I shouldn't regret it and stick with the plan and the one I liked best most of the time ... Problem is that all three are great. No matter who wins, I think all painters should consider themselves winners in a way! Awesome! |

...you can still call me Rusty Tincanne if you want, though.

In the end it was the subtle change of colors from tail-to-body on the HPA that won me over. (Though the crispness/cleanliness of colours on the Bell and Doomwheel were very alluring to me as well!) | |

Really all three of them are great entries, but one has to vote, right... In the end I went for the Hell Pit Abomination. The screaming bell is well painted, but not as well as the Hell Pit Abomination and not as original as the doomwheel, I think. The doomwheel, then. While I really like the blue on this one (I wonder who it belongs to.... ), especially on the Engineer inside, which makes him really stand out while he's normally perhaps not visible enough, It's very well painted as well, and the base is really cool and original (I expect a tutorial soon!). The reason I didn't pick it is the other bright colours which clash a little too hard with the blue, and... The horrible collage, if I'm honest. Not meaning to be rude at all, but that background is way too prominent, your photo's are way too close to each other since they're so busy in themself, and the blur is a little weird. I may be exaggerating this a bit, but as it's the image that we get to judge, really try to get your presentation a little sharper. It might have swung my vote! Still, it is an amazing entry, and very, very well painted. I really like the blending on the flag as well. And the base...The Abomination then, which got my vote, is really very well painted. I also really liked the colour choices, and the bone and Warpstone parts are really, really well painted. It just really works very well as a model. No real remarks, well done! I... I just don't know. This is going to require a great deal of thought and squinting at the monitor... Mutate: so quite some time later I made a little scoring system and added/subtracted points for things I liked/disliked... and still ended up without a decision. Curses. The back ground on the doom wheel is distracting! Nice looking model though would like to see it without the insane background! |

Lots of nice models again. Very tough choice and whoever wins very much deserves it. I'm just kicking myself as the next model I need to paint is a screaming bell... |

Son of a .................... Stupid real life has been in the way for sometime now and I have not been able to hobby much at all. Forgot about the Sept-Oct competition completely. I have had my Plague Furnace primed and attached to sprue bit sitting on my desk since May or so. Anyhow my whining aside great job everyone. Just incredible models that make me glad I was not here to vote. Picking just one would have been quite a chore. |
