There is no such thing, as free warpstone

These are just some neat conversions/paint jobs I have made at some time or other. Just wanted to share them with you all ![]() This guy actually survived his first shot! ![]() ![]() A example of a mutant with four arms. The second left arm is actually a skink arm. It is surprising how well it fits with a splash of brown paint. ![]() ![]() ![]() I paint my slaves a bit differently than the rest. I think they ate a weird mushroom or caught some strange lustrian disease but they got some STRANGE ideas. Something about "harmony with nature" and "community". But I sort of like 'em. |

Four armed rats for the WIN! That's a great idea and very nice execution. Love the brightly coloured slaves too, so cool. Please share more, this is quite interesting. |

Due to the evident enthusiasm for the mutant I have decided to present my house rule for him (although I never use him). The Pipe Scrubbers ![]() Fluff: Clan Skyre has many pipes and channels leading chemicals, warpstone gases and rivers of used and impure warpstone to other experimental chambers or out, to the surface, to great wastelands of uninhabitable soil where great hulking mutant forms live. In these great pipes warpstone solidifies into a great green-glowing crust, slowly clogging up the channels and wasting great amounts of the expensive material. This is why clan skyre has employed the help of a large body of slaves known as "Scrubbers" to crack off the warstone crust for reuse and to stop any clogging that could (and has) ended in many disasters (for some). Most don't survive their second day but a few, seem to have a natural gift allowing them to continue their career for a year or so with only minor mutations (like 27 livers or a gut 500 meters long). These select few may eventually be promoted to train the overwhelming numbers of new scrubbers or, in times of great need, serve in suicide missions on the field of battle. Cost: 9p per model M=5 Ws=3 Bs=1 S=D3+1 T=D3+1 I=2 A=D3+1 Ld=2 Equipment: Light Armor Scrubbing tools (hand weapons) Special Rules: Strength in Numbers Fear Scurry Away Natural Gift These rats have a natural gift at resisting the mutational power of warpstone. They have a 6+ ward save against all warpstone weapons. Mutations Pipe scrubbers are horribly mutated, and their mutations can change from minute to minute. Some can even hinder the rat, rather than be of use! To represent this they have D3+1 toughness, strength and attacks. Roll separately at the start of each turn, and separately for each stat. Options: Head Scrubber (D3+2 attacks)----12p Standard Bearer------------------------12p Musician----------------------------------8p Spears------------------------------------2p/model Heavy Armor----------------------------2p/model I DARE anybody to make a comabt block of these |

Wow awesome! I like the idea of D3+1 stats that change during the game lol. They seem like fun to build and play with, but probably not very reliable in-game. But that's the Skaven way I suppose.

i would maybe reduce their points to match the other skaven "elite" troops, such as plague monks and stormvermin, even with max stats they are still just about equal with them (possibly slightly better). Other than reducing the points for them they look pretty awesome, if you dont mind i might try using their rules in some future games. |

Variable attributes are hard to estimate. On average, you're looking at S3, T3, 3 attacks (with a guaranteed minimum of 2 attacks), all at average WS. Plague Monks get the double attacks going but get Frenzy, while the four-slave costed ninja rats Night Runners get double attacks but are sort of terrible. The low initiative hurts, but light armor with the option of going to heavy armor and the option of shields makes these guys hard to gauge. They're essentially slaves that can punch harder than Stormvermin yet are even less reliable. I don't know how I feel about them. Then again, they're literally the chimney sweeps of Clan Skyre, so I guess I shouldn't care too much! |

@Kimizi Why thank you! @Blakkr I think I'll put the points down to 9p. You are welcome to try them on the field (I am interested in how they go) but please note that these rules are in no way official. In other words bribe the tournament moderators @ TrueLancer Don't forget they cause fear I was thinking of them being part of the PWG/ PCB group. The sort of unit that is fun but slightly useless/ conditional. I would guess their best use would be for skirmisher/ archer/ hero hunters or flankers, or war machine defenders. Here is something different. I made some fences! It was quite simple really, I just cut some sprews together and stuck some plastic-card in between. Wallah: Fence no.1 the Flag fence (flags are night runner capes) ![]() ![]() Fence no.2 Dead elf fence (a high elf spear man dead HerHerHer...) ![]() ![]() Fence no.3 Spirit Fence (from the wood elf sprues) ![]() ![]() And all together:

Whoa! So simple but so brilliant. ![]() I like the way you painted these, so dark and grim and creepy. Great effect. The decorations are really cool too and add a lot of character to them. I love them.
