Almost done with my second Doomwheel!

Need to finish the base and do some edge highlights seeing as I don't like how dark it has become but here it is :)
Especially proud of my inversed freehand banner. (colours are swapped compared to my other one which broke his banner AGAIN! )

Wow....Nice freehand bud. Any chance of a write up on how you did it? I need all the freehand tips I can get.

Woohoo I can teach Hannanibal something!!!

Basicly I do it like this:

Paint the whole banner. In this case I used Dheneb Stone.

After that I grabbed a good round form I had lying around (oh hi plastic glue!)
Put some paint on the round shapes edges and stamp it on the banner. Now you have the outlines of the circle you wanted to make.

For the triangles I just grabbed something that was straight like a cavalry base then grabbed my fineliner and made 4 exact diagonal lines. Make sure your fineliner is waterproof!! When you have done that you do another set of 4 diagonal lines to create a diamond shaped pattern.
When you got your diamond pattern its just a matter of filling in half of the diamond everytime, a bit of colour by numbers so to say.

The markings were sketched again with the black fineliner. The symbol was fully black at first. The again I went over the black with the red leaving just a tiny black outline or went over the black with dheneb stone if I found that the marking were to thick. A few coats later it was done.

It's just so much easier when drawing with a fineliner. When you do a nice sketch with that thing all thats left to do is filling in or "erasing" with paint.
