Finally someone who agrees with me, lol!
I am quite looking forward to that contest tbh. It has so much room for creativity and epic paintjobs. :D

Ok this annoy some, and I am in no way trying to start a huge argument. Just thought I would clearify that first.

My original idea has been posted here. Although it is not a picture it gives an idea of what my warlitter will look like and thus becomes less anonymous.

Basically simple question can I still do this idea and enter the contest or should I come up with something else?

You can do anything you like and enter the contest as long as there are no pictures of your specific entry floating around on the net. That's the only rule really.

That is what I was thinking also. My only concern is that the rule seems to be more concerned with being anonymous and based on people's work rather than who they are. As I am a new member I doubt people will be favouring me but who knows.

If an admin or council member could clearify this then I would be as happy as rat swimming in cheese wiz.

I knew before posting it in this thread it was disqualified from the competition, but I don't mind as I don't think I will have the time to finish the warlord in July. I have plans to do a lot of work on my core troops at that time, and will not rush what's going to be a very important character in my army. :)

Aight good call man... ya as for me I have so many models to paint cuz I got them for cheap. So I don't mind spending all my time painting one thing while 100+ models are unpainted.

Not a mod, but as we thrashed it down to bare bones before....

By and large the membership is unbiased, and will vote for the best unit, regardless of who posted it. But the only way to ensure that this always happens is to ensure that all postings are anonymous. It's impossible for someone to cry "favoritism" when all entries are anon. But, in reality, nothing is anon, because most of us know each other's style of painting, and army color schemes from posts that are not in teh competition that we can say, with 100% certainty, whos rats are whose. Kimzi, probably the most outspoken for loosing the anon requirement, also happens to be the easiest to identify. :P

Myself I come down FOR anonymous, but I also think the "no pictures anywhere" is harsh. Non-linked photos of the WIP are no more identifying that style. I don't think we need to put names on photos for the vote though.

Also, FWIW, and FYI, you need Clanrat status (25 relevent posts in Skaven sections of the Board) to be eligable for voting. This is to prevent people from Box Stuffing with Dummy accounts, though it does tend to catch new members as well. If you want to vote when the next contest opens up, but don't have your Votes, send a PM to scrivener, Skaven Lord Vinshqueek, or Warlock Matik asking for voting rights.

Ok, but I have more 25 posts, so that isn't an issue. I know anonymity is the main goal of the contest, but as you said people know each others painting and modeling styles. So for example say I previously posted an orange skaven army. Then in voting a bright as well an orange skaven warlord is presented. This WL (assuming people saw the orange army) would lose it anonymity. Anyway I don't want to start an argument so I will just say that my army isn't painted and may or may not be orange. Most likely not, but you will have to wait to find out.

Yeah if we can pick your army out by painting and or photograph style it does not matter. Heck most of the time we all know which models belong to whom.

So just keep whatever you are working on off the interwebs but feel free to post up the rest of your army without worry.

Unrelated to Renegades post my daughter got me some Storm Vermin for Fathers Day and dang these models are nice! Seeing them on the intenet I thought they would be ok but dang they are some big angry looking Rats.

I may paint up a unit of 10 and stick them with a Storm Banner even though I do not need it or maybe do up some character type model of some sort *cough cough* just because of there coolness.

I feel like war litters are mostly SV as they are the only skaven unit with two moveable arms. I was thinking of clanrats but it hard to get a pose that doesn't look weird. I might just have to do some cutting and greenstuff work.

As to internet picture of SV, GW painted models although awesome for some armies look like crap. For example I don't like how they use flesh tones for orgers I always imagined them as greyish purple or blue type monsters. Although Bluetablepainting.com youtube channel has some sick OK if you are interested.
I personally love the stormvermin and although the GW image is boring and plain I can see these models being an awesome fighting force. Now to save up the money to buy 40, seeing as 20 isn't really viable for them and 60 is a bit steep at the moment. Actually I will buy 20 better try em' out with a friend and invest the money on one rather than spend $100 on 2 packs to find I would rather have PM.

This topic had gotten crowded with speculations about how many people vote in the UnderEmpire's painting competitions. Since those posts were unrelated to War-litters, I gave them their own thread here.

This is what I had in mind for a Warlitter... It has been a puzzle to get those 6 models on a 40x40 base, but the job is done...
Sorry about the poor quality of the pics, but you should get the general idea

An idea I had a while back was to use all the little plastic rat bitz to build a swarm like base then have the Warlord "ride" this huge swarm as if hes surfing a giant tide of rats.
