I was thinking of building a warlitter. my idea was snag a brettonian men at arms shield and have it supported by 4 stromvermin. Using the SV halbers as the support beams holding up the shield and WL. I don't not own any SV as of yet but is it possible to get all the halberds vertitle or will I have to use clanrats and spears for this?

Also if anyone has any sick looking warlitters post em as it might give me some ideas on making my own.

I made this one just using some stormvermin and some plastic card.

Yeaah but aren't those OOP SV? In which case it would be harder for me to find them.

Anyway that is an awesome litter man. I am deffiently a fan of the simplistic warlitters over the huge extravagant litters as the ladder normally goes overboard.

There should be loads of warlitters on here.
A google image search pulls up quite a few too.

Mine is here It's not the best I've seen by a long shot, but it was very simple. Of the 2 clanrats carrying it, one is unmodified except for a SV shield and the other has the spear cut off his right arm and the arm positioned to touch the platform. The platform is a cut down and modified spare side from an orc chariot, but any fairly big flat object would work really.
They don't look like they are holding it particularly securely and I don't expect to win any prizes for it, but as a gaming piece I think it looks fine and was very simple to do.

dude that is dope... I love the randshackleness of it. It even says in the skaven lore they take there weapons from fallen enemies... why not take parts of warmachines and other things?

Here's mine. It's still WIP, so no better shots. :(
It's two IoB clanrats and a Stormvermin. I modified one arm for each of the clanrats so they actually hold around the metal rod. The rest is built from small wooden grill-spits and icecream sticks.

Next month is "Warlord on a Mount" for the Painting Competition, and posting pictures disqualifies you from entry so here's a

PLACEHOLDER

for mine. Come back in September to see it ;)

Ok but with the exception of the one above they are all painted. The rules say you have to show a pic of it unpainted and WIP pics then the finished pic. I don't think the one above that isn't even primed should be dissqualified. So what if some people have already seen it unpainted I don't think that will change the outcome of teh contest.

Just my 2cents

mutate: Taken from the current paintig challange so I assume that next months rules will be the same. "There must be no images of an entry on this site or anywhere on the web, so that the competition may remain anonymous. (We all wish to be judged by our work, rather than by who we are. Asking voters to select their favorite models without knowing who created them is a step towards achieving that goal.)"

That being said that is incredibly lame that people have no sense of an objectional vote. My friend was in a painting contest and lost by one vote, I voted for the winner. I told him and he said "Ya that guy was a beast of a painter". So I don't think this rule is necassiary but as stated before this is just my opinion.

Heh, don't start that one up again. We had a big discussion last time about whether making it anonymous was a good idea or not.
