As much fun as I had painting someone else's mini, I'm not sure if I would join in on another mini swap... I've yet to hear anything about my own that I sent.

I know things crop up in life and the little things like this get pushed to the back of the queue so to speak, so I'm not having a dig, it's just put me off a little from joining in any future ones :)

Yeah that's understandable. It makes me a bit sad too. :c

Glad you had fun painting anyway. :)

Quiet, I'm plotting.

Ghaznub, for the record, as I see it mini swaps should always be approached with the understanding that you won't get you miniature back, but will paint and send back the one you are sent.

Whenever I choose a miniature to send it is a balancing act of choosing something interesting, but also something that I will be able to live with if it doesn't ever return to me. In my view, as long as you have sent a miniature off as well as painted and returned one, you should feel content. I find painting a miniature for someone else to be an extremely rewarding experience. Which sounds like the experience you had.

I guess what I am saying is, don't completely rule out participating again. For me the positives far outweigh the negatives.

Which one of these smilies do I use for shame?

Cause that's what I am, ashamed.

Have you still not painted yours, Bounty? :C

I completely agree with you on that Trask. Painting a mini for someone else really feels great!

Send a model your not so attached to is a better first model if you don't know the person. That is why I sent greatwhitezulu a Rat Ogre I hate the new design.

Maybe it's too early to ask, but do you happen to have any idea when the next miniswap will be?
I hadn't registered yet when this one started, but followed it closely and am really enthousiast to participate next time.
Perhaps a christmas edition would be fun?
This really is a great initiative, Kimzi!

I don't know when the next one will start yet. I was initially going to wait for this one to be truly finished and then ask everyone what they wanted, but maybe we can get something new going sooner. Lets discuss!

Miniswap was not my idea, I have seen a few threads about mini swaps on this site before and I only organized this one because people seemed interested in having one again. :P

Hey Ghaznub! If you want, you can send another mini to me and I'll paint it for you! I don't know if I can do such a great job as you did on my skink, but I'd be more than happy to try!

So I got to play with the Skink Priest w/ cloak of feathers that Ghaznub painted for me this weekend. Here are some action pictures!

During deployment

Sadly he quickly lost one of his two wounds.

We were playing with 3 people free-for-all with objectives (against BM and HE). The pretty butterfly candle is an objective. On the last turn he heroically blew up a razorgor chariot securing an objective for me! (Apart from that, I lost miserably, mainly to the high elf general you can see hiding in a bunch of centigors to the back. (My sister just started and needs lots of proxies ;))).

Awesome! :D It's really cool to see the model in action like that. He looks great with the rest of your army too!

I have used the one hannanibal painted for me as my new Mordheim warband leader. Will take some pictures if we ever play that game again lol.

It certainly is pretty cool seeing that model in action, painting him made me want to get together some lizards for myself! But no.... I have too many armies with very little progress as it is
