Hey guys, I am new to the skaven, very new, and wanted to know if Ikit Claw is worth taking, he is my favorite character in the Skaven and i love the model and rules for him, and since we can no longer take lord Warlocks I was hoping someone could help me with the logic for taking him, because at nearly 400pts and worse than a grey seer I can't really see a reason but desperately want to take him. |

Im certainly no pro but Ikit has some of the best saves in the Skaven army book and his Storm Daemon is pretty nasty. Personally id say hes maybe only worth it in bigger games or as a themed army. Although bare in mind everyone plays differently and prefer different units and tactics so you should just 'proxy' him for a game or two and see how you feel with him. If you can get him to work for you then go for it ![]() On a side note, he is one of the nicer looking models

I'd hate to see it if the rodents ever got their way. Still, I get paid for catching a pole-full. Give us another one, Bessie." | |

I've found a link to an earlier topic that might help: Here. My two Warptokens on Ikit is that he is not the best magic user or combat monster we can use, instead he's a mix of the two roles being able to cast some spells (as well as the bound spell in his halberd) and able to take and deal damage in combat. His one shot Warpfire thrower is also a nice little weapon of opportunity. I'm still in the Grey Seer camp because they are the true masters of magic, but Ikit does have his charms and is fairly balanced as Skaven characters go. |

the three times that i've fielded him, he's only lasted to turn three. My Opponents learnt very quickly that they do not like the Storm Daemons bond spell/ Still the model's to awesome to leave at home |

His saves are incredible, for a Skaven. I find that his extra nuke allows you to play the dispel game with your opponent even better, and the flamethrower is an insane clutch tool, especially since you are allowed to re-roll the artillery dice. Also his base stats are higher than your Seer, so he is durable vs. Characteristic tests. He won't be able to dish out as much magic as the Seer does, since he is Lvl3, can't take Plague Lore, can't take Dread 13, but he is no deadweight. When i run him in my lists he pulls his own weight, but don't expect him to outshine your cookie-cutter Grey Seer build |
