Is it true that with the actual FAQ I can shoot into my slaves without having to randomize the hits ? I'm quite new to the Rats, and I simply wanted to know if there was a counter measure I missed somewhere other than the FAQ. Thank you!!

As the FAQ stands, yes. It says to ignore the sentences that refer to randomisation, and since there is no replacement you just hit the enemy unit now. This is for normal shooting though, templates still hit whatever they cover, friend or foe.

Cannon balls are templates to, just really, really narrow ones with special coverage rules. Maybe GW could start selling sewing string labeled as "Cannon Template"? |

Frankly, I'm glad they got rid of it since you can no longer fire a WFT into a unit of slaves, touch about 8 plus, say, the hydra they're fighting and have half the Slave's hits end up on the Hydra because of how the randomizing rule worked.
