The Warpfire Dragen went up on the Forge World website today: http://www.forgeworld.co.uk/New_Stuff/WARPFIRE_DRAGON.html Concerning the model: I really like the head, I am not so sure about the body. More interesting are the rules, that include (beside some other nasty things) the Warpfire Aura: ... At the beginning of each Close Combat phase every model (friend or foe) within 3" of the Warpfire Dragon must pass a Strength test or suffer a single wound. No Armour saves may be taken against this. A Warpfire Dragon also gains a 4+ Ward save against weapons that have the Warpstone Weapon rule ... Of course, the dragon will be limited to friendly and SoM games, but still an interesting one, ain't it? |

i would say that is a "Meh" on the model. We've seen so many dragons i'm not sure what makes this one special. As for the rules, whoever created them must have a really good Skaven player in his Sunday warhammer group

It's an Ok model. Not sure about his fish tail though. I don't really read the rules that much unless they become legal. I just think we have enough dragon type models at the moment and this is overkill. I'd like to see GW plugging the gaps or making up to date models in their existing canon before they start making new stuff up whether it's Forge World or not. |

I like the body of the dragon, very sleek and lean. Don't much like the head, rather too 'tyrannid' for my tastes. I am sure that if one of the models fell into my lap I could chop it up as parts for my Abomb, but doubt that I'll be spending the money to buy one.

That dragon would be quite fitting if it were integrated into some form of subterranean diorama.

I've been waiting for this since I saw the name at Games day. For the model itself I love the pose, not so keen on the head but I really like the rest of it. As for the rules they're hilarious, it's about as skaven a dragon we're going to get - it even explodes I'd happily use one alongside Skaven in SoM, the aura could even help protect it from my wayward misfires ![]() TINKER: Plus it's only £40, that's easily comparable to GW resin monsters. The head reminds me of the queen alien from aliens. Rules are a bit silly but then again SoM is that. |

I actually like it. The head isn't too bad, the pose is nice, it's just the fin on the tail that seems a little off. |

The oldest Dragons you can field (Emperor IIRC) have had a magic level option for a while, definitely in the Storm of Magic book at least. And yes, I've always liked the idea of sitting one on a fulcrum
