Great post Kimzi.
I have a theory that in a few years time tabletop wargaming will be seen as quite cool. It's already getting popular and the books and video games aspect of the hobby open it up to new people.
And to all the idiots who say "Hurr durr oo shud play futborl and chayss da wimminz insted of playin plaistk men" I say these activities are not mutually exclusive.
The VAST majority of the comments and the article itself were very positive so that's all good.

Yeah, in a few years we'll break into pop-culture. Then some tween idiot will die of a rock to the head while attempting to run a LARP version of Warhammer, and whatever the dominant religious group of the day is will go off on how Nurgle or Khorne made him do it, and it's back to the closet for all of us.

So very, very true but I would love to hear someone blaming Nurgle and Khorne for an IRL event! EPIC!

:D
People blame rock bands for bad stuff happening and half the time those rock bands are nice guys singing nice songs. When these same people find out their kids are pretending to be Generals of Chaos, sworn to spread evil and terror in the name of Chaos Gods then the s**t will hit the fan.
