A new Fimir (unofficial) Army book has just been released; from the Meargh Witch-queen and her Demonfriend Dirach wizards to the lowly Shearl thralls it's a top quality production.

(75 meg pdf, 110 pages and completely free! - please let us know what you think).

Links and artwork removed due to copyright violations.

It is a nice effort, I am sure - but Fimir models are rare as hen's teeth. In ten years or more I think I've seen a Fimir model once; and only at most half a dozen on eBay. So am I missing something?

By the way, I like the cover art a lot more than GW's most recent efforts.

Heroquest does indeed rock. Just had to reiterate the point.

The cover art IS GW art. It's from the Storm of Magic Fimir Balefiend entry.

In that case they are using copyrighted artwork, probably without permission, which is not a great idea.

I have a feeling GW doesn't really care it it's used on a free pdf that only a handful of people will actually use in any way.

Then you'd feel wrong. GW is one of the most agressive companies in perusing IP violations. There are whole threads here, and other boards, about the absurd lengths the company goes to to prevent this kind of thing. One of the reasons you can't sell GW product online is so their box art won't appear outside of their website.

I thought the website thing was to try and direct business to their site and not an online retaier.

This whole fan-created Warhammer Fimir Army Book is a clear violation of Games Workshop's intellectual property. The fact that the illustration for the book's cover is taken directly from Warhammer Storm of Magic, page 134, only makes the theft more blatant.

The UnderEmpire is committed to respecting Games Workshop's intellectual property. The offending material has been removed, and this thread is now closed.
