I made these few pieces for my game at the weekend. Very basic and VERY quick to make (3 hours from start to finish if it wasn't for overnight drying times) and the rest of the games terrain will need to be fleshed out with my existing warhammer scenery.
Yeah, these pieces look like a scene from Stalingrad in 1943 due to all the brick walls but the pre-made plastic walls saved time, serve a purpose and can be used in games of 40K too so that's a bonus. Oh and the walls are slightly over 1 inch high so no running through them as if they weren't there! You gotta climb those things.....

I'm gonna make some individual set pieces soon with lots of floors, walkways and details.

I got them from a model railway shop but Hobbycraft (UK) sell them. They are made by Tamiya and they are WW2 1/35 scale brick walls. They cost me £3.50 but hobbycraft sell the for about £4.50. There are 2 sets here.
Thanks guys.

Bunny ear says flop

Do mind that Mordheim is a closely-clustered set of buildings. Having boardwalks from one building to the other allows one to play the game on multiple levels, which means that matters such as walking alongside a ledge, or employing diving charges mean you're fighting less of a static battle and having creatures continue to move can be much more worthwhile.

Other then that, those are some very neat ruins indeed!

Yeah I definitely need more walkways and levels. Making the little second floor was the best bit actually and most of the game action happened around it. I'm gonna knuckle down this week with my coffee stirrers and foam card and get some rickety walkways and multi leveled buildings made. I'ts funny now how I view every mundane object as potential terrain.

Nice ones. If you make more you can make them look like actual bricks, i e orange-red.

I did them brick red at first and they looked cool but for some reason I decided to do a mucky grey as well and it just looked better somehow. It fitted with the ruin theme so I changed them to grey even though I've never actually seen a grey brick in my life :P

A blood curling cough a day, keeps the assassins away

Seeing them painted kind of makes me want to paint my 2 pieces of ruins.
Great work :-) But to add to the Mordheim gaming experience i'd go with Vinz in saying that you'll need higher levels with walkways and ledges. Those jumps or diving charges are awsome / deadly.

Coolest peice of peicemeal terrain at out FLGS is a Brick ruin made out of Sprue. Some crazed builder took the time to cut an entire IoB of sprue into 1cm 'chunks' then glued them all back together in a brick pattern. The effect is amazing, I'll get pictures the next time I'm in there, may be a bit as I'm at the other FLGS for an Escalation Tourney this next month I think.

I bet it looks amazing. I use sprue cut offs for rocks and stuff because you get a nice, sharp, uneven edge. That must have taken him ages to do. Is he aware that you can buy scale building blocks by the hundred for a couple of quid?
