Hi all! Back in the game after 5 years, and been getting som good ideas for list building on this forum. Going to a tournament with ETC Comp so I have tried to build a competive list heavily based on Matusala's Castle.

the list looks relativity decent. my only concern is that one of your blocks will be outside of the 18" leadership bubble (as my list only has 4 blocks and yours has 5)

not saying that wont work of course. just gotta be careful with it.

Other than that, keep the rares and weapon teams well protected. and you should see some good showings from the list.

Fast reply, hehe.

You believe 31 rats is enough for pushing the bell?

Yeah good point, need to be careful to get them within 18 ". I pushed it to one more block as I cant have more than 40 per unit in the ETC comp. Have to test it out to see if I can keep them within the bubble :=)

And also, I see you are going without Skalm? You dont think it is not worth it even though the list falls if the the grey seer falls?

A blood curling cough a day, keeps the assassins away

1 Grey Seer, 495 pts (General; Hand Weapon)
1 Warpstone Tokens
1 Screaming Bell (Causes Fear; Large Target; Magic Resistance (2); Unbreakable)
1 Rat Ogre Crew
1 Earthing Rod
1 Skalm
Standard and effective build for a grey seer, with or without bell. In ETC i'd run a normal seer instead of a seer on the bell. A seer on foot gets a look out sir against most 'uber' instant kill spells like dwellers. Your seer on screaming bell doesn't get a look out sir since he's not the same unit type.
Other then that i'd switch the earthing rod for a power scroll in the ETC settings. With the 5 power dice for a spell limit the 13th spell isn't that easy to cast. The powerscroll however enables you to cast it on 3 dice.

1 Chieftain (Battle Standard Bearer), 122 pts (Hand Weapon; Heavy Armour; Shield; Battle Standard Bearer)
1 Storm Banner
The most seen BSB build :P

1 Warlock Engineer, 115 pts (Level 1 Wizard; Hand Weapon)
1 Doomrocket
1 Warp-Energy Condenser
Yet again a standard but effective build

31 Clanrats, 209.5 pts (Hand Weapon; Light Armour; Shield)
1 Warpfire Thrower Weapon Team (Warpfire Thrower; Hand Weapon; Heavy Armour)
I'd boost these up to 35, and chance the fire thrower for a mortar. Not a big fan of any weapon team except the mortar (in a competative army). Mortars have the huge advantage of move and fire, and can use their parent unit their line of sight. So they can stay hidden behind the parent unit for cover and their ward safe. But since you already have 2 mortars i'd drop them for 2 extra rat darts and an extra gutter runner.
Also try to include a musician for those fast reforms.

40 Clanrats, 257 pts (Musician Mus; Standard Bearer Std; Hand Weapon; Light Armour; Shield)
1 Poisoned Wind Mortar Weapon Team (Poisoned Wind Mortar; Hand Weapon; Heavy Armour)
Hooray a mortar!

40 Clanrats, 257 pts (Musician Mus; Standard Bearer Std; Hand Weapon; Light Armour; Shield)
1 Poisoned Wind Mortar Weapon Team (Poisoned Wind Mortar; Hand Weapon; Heavy Armour)
Hooray another mortar :P

40 Skavenslaves, 102 pts (Musician Mus; Hand Weapon; Shield)

40 Skavenslaves, 102 pts (Musician Mus; Hand Weapon; Shield)

40 Skavenslaves, 102 pts (Musician Mus; Hand Weapon; Shield)
Normal Slave build, enough ranks for steadfast and a muse for those quick reforms.

5 Giant Rats, 23 pts
1 Packmaster (Hand Weapon; Whip; Light Armour)
Every competative army should at least have one of these

5 Poison Wind Globadiers, 50 pts (Hand Weapon; Poisoned Wind Globes; Heavy Armour; Skirmishers)
Globadiers are a good unit, cheap and capable of some serious damage

5 Gutter Runners, 90 pts (Hand Weapon; Extra Hand Weapon; Sling; Throwing Star; Poisoned Attacks; Scouts; Skirmishers)
I'd try boosting them up to 6, other then that a nice effective and most seen way of fielding them.

1 Doomwheel, 150 pts (Causes Terror; Immune to Psychology; Large Target)
1 Crew (Warlock & Rats)

1 Hell Pit Abomination, 235 pts (Causes Terror; Large Target; Regenerate; Stubborn; Thunder Stomp)

1 Warp Lightning Cannon, 90 pts
1 Engineer & Crew
Normal and solidchoices on the rares

It's a standard looking list with most of the competative options we have to offer (with the ETC rule set).
I agree with math on the part that you need to keep your weapon teams and rares well protected, they'll probably do most damage.
