The one and only.
What makes me a bit sad is that this was the Tyranid 2nd wave we had to wait years for... And it got turned into a Space Marine wave with some nids thrown in almost as an afterthought. It's always Marines this, marines that... Blegh!

Ah well, I'm glad they were finally released. Now I have to save up for a Tyrannofex!

That's my main gripe. I'm not a 40K hater, I'll definitely be getting the new edition, I'm just sick of space marines and their endless supply of new models. There always seems to be something new for them whether it's a whole chapter upgrade or a little upgrade kit here and there. It's not fair dammit! Considering half the skaven range is still stuck in the past and Brettonians and Wood elves seem to be going the same way as Chaos Dwarves.

you think bretonians and wood elves are going to disappear????

that would be deep ... but it's true that when i see the bretonian miniatures I just want to look away :(

Idea:

Wouldnt it me nice if the humans of the old warhammer world (bretonians / estalians / tileans / and the empire) were assembled in 1 army book like "Kingdoms of men" for lotr and then within the army lists you would have several tree organised specialisations giving you limited access to certain types of troops

you would have basic troops available to all (spears, infantry, archers etc.)

and then depending on your choices of magic, technology, military organization, warrior etc. you could gain access to:

crossbows, pikes, powder weapons or better wizzards, magical creatures (all those flying and fire spitting things) or if you're sneaky better skirmishers and more versatile cavalry?

So you'd have a main book for kingdoms of men allowing you to imagine (but staying balanced) your own region leaders and fighting style and smaller books if you want them like the "Uniforms & Heraldry Of The Empire" for those who want it

Tha could revive a bit the human players of the old world dont you think? Just my 2 cents

Dogs of War before GW made it dissapear was basically that. :(

I can't really see GW getting rid of Wood Elves or Brets they are already too ingrained in the background to remove safely.

But anyhow i'm starting to fear we are getting very off topic now chaps.

Off topic--- I don't honestly believe they will get rid of Brets or Wood Elves but I bet the Chaos Dwarf players thought the same thing. I hope they don't get rid of any established army. All that money and hard work just to be told you made the wrong choice, hard luck. That must have been harsh.

Those Fenrisian (or whatever) wolves are really cool. Very nice and dynamic poses... I wonder how long it will take before people make wolf riders out if those.

Flem,
As a Chaos Dwarf collector we are all abuzz about these wolfs. Especially as was pointed out there's a conspicuous piece on the back that would be purrrrrfect(*) for a mount.

(*) Ok that's a more cat thing but GW isn't exactly an ailurophile kinda place

Cats aren't Grimdark. You never see a cat with a skull.

That's the second cat-Poe I've seen in two weeks, and for the life of me I can't remember a single bit of cat in his works. I may need to pull his complete works back out of my Library and re-read it.

The entire theme of one story is about one. The aptly named The Black Cat. Uber grimdark.
