Space wolfs riding wolfs! Surely that uber heavy power armour would crush that wolf?

The one and only.
But they are uber awesome super Space Marine wolves of awesomsauce!
I don't know... I dislike space marines and putting them on wolves won't help that at all.

The new Nids are awesome though! I have been waiting for a Tyrannofex kit for ages. :D

It's just more insanity you have bullets that can get through power armour what chance does the wolf stand and yes your going to shoot the wolf first it slows them down! As if a fat ass marine wont slow the wolf down enough lol

All these damn space puppies give me is a new bunch o' models to consider for Razorgors and Chaos Warhounds :P I do love me some wolves, so I may just get some solely for that.

Mutate: from bitz websites, probably. So they don't have the stupid SPEHSS MUHREENS on them.

All the new tyranids look very nice, and the wolf-parts of the space wolves also look nice, just ignore anything in power armour :P

@Beregond: There is a kit that is purely Fenrisian wolves without any silly riders :)

The fenris wolves look beautiful. Certainly better than the VC dire wolves...HMMmmm..... Although I love the nids they all look the same to me. I can't tell my carnifex from my biovore (well I can if I squint). But as far as the wolf cavalry goes...Nah. Not impressed. The individual wolves look amazing, lots of movement and energy but the dudes perched on the top in the bulky power armour look plain silly. Power Rangers had more style than this.

Oh and "Thunderwolves"?!?!? Oh dear...."Thunderwolves are on the move. Thunderwolves are loose. Hear the magic, hear the roar. Thunderwolves are loose. Thunder, thunder thunder THUNDERCATS...Eerrr.... Wolves".

The Thunderwolf Cavalry ones are much, much bigger, perhaps even too big for the 50mm base a Razorgor is meant to go on... which just makes it an even better idea! XD

The Fenrisian Wolves pack I neeeeed for either unit filler, chaos warhounds or just because they look great :P

Totally not a magpie

I have the strangest feeling that the Thunderbirds Thundercats Thunderwolf cavalry will claim to have some kind of mini force shield that protects the wolf from bullets and strangely enough gives it also keeps the model at a 3+ save... :P

Come to think of it are they perhaps making Space Wolves a bit erm too wolf themed? I could swear that there were no tanks, big guns, or any normal foot soldiers in the new releases, just lots and lots of wolves.

The Nids looked pretty good but as hannanibal said, they all look very very similar.

Yeah! The space marine takes up about 1/3 of the whole model but I bet the total save is the same. We're jumping the gun here but I'm going from past experience with GW rules.

Statline is present in their page in the advanced orders ;) it is indeed a 3+ save.

'cause wolves are naturally armoured, y'know?

Edit: wtf the Fenrisian Wolves have a 6+ save as well. They're trying to tell me that a random wolf has the same armour save as a gaunt covered in armour plates...? And the addition of some cybernetic enhancements makes it a 4+... makes sense..?

Those are not wolves.
There are no wolves on Fenris.

And the reason there's no "regular" guys is because this is filling up the range with a second wave. All the basic stuff was released already.
Jumping the gun? All the rules for these models have been released already.

Thubderwolf cavalry have a combined marine/giant wolf statline. Makes the combined model S5 T5 with Space Marine armour. Totally badass.

Me too. But mainly because my Chaos Space Marines so seldom get to benefit from the 'rule of "cool"'.
I wish A Chaos Space Marine on a Juggernaught was even half as goo as these. Stick a Saga where every kill nets you +1A next round and the Stormshield for a measly 3+ "Ward save" and we are talking. And I'm not sure that's even the most "optimal" use.

And even then Grey Knights makes this look fairly balanced in comparison.

There's a reason we more or less gave up on 40k and I now have hundreds of rats.
