I wouldn't classify this list are a "horde" list. Less than 300 troops in 2500 points doesn't scream "horde" to me. I know where the points that would make it a horde are tied up (2 abominations and moderate load in characters), but you've built it that way for a reason. It definitely seems to be a combat specialized list with average support in magic then shooting. It's the type of list I prefer to run; though I love hordes too.

I assume you plan to have this unit sit in the back behind the lines and throw the BSB bubble? I've toyed with a similar idea of using a secondary smallish unit of Monks (aside from my plague banner 4x10 brick) as a back-bunker for my Seer, but haven't tried it yet. If you do end up running with it let us know how it goes.

The only thing leadership woes I see your idea as having to contend with is the displacement range between the general and the BSB, since generally you want your rerolls going into your boosted units the closer the BSB and General are the better control you have over your units in the bubble. Frenzy is a secondary thought, but having LD7 in the unit + ranks and the reroll of the BSB I doubt they'll be tearing off when you don't want them to.

I dont think its a good idea to have a gray seer and or a bsb in a frenzy unit of plague monks. You want the monks in combat, not the seer and bsb.

With all those units it could be worth droping the warlord and going with a bell for the 18" ld bubble and the ability to see over everything.

Yeah, I guess I should clarify.

The Plague Monks are a bunker for my caster and BSB. The thought was that they are tough to kill with mortars and they won't panic off the table. They will follow up behind the rest of my units, so their charges will be blocked unless I really need them. Also, I needed something killy and immune to panic in the event of the Watchtower scenario.

I wanted the Grey Seer to NOT be my general. I play in a pretty heavy gunline meta around here. I loathe cannons, especially when they constantly pick the grey seer off my bell more accurately than any sniper rifle. I also won't lose in the event of a miscast sucking my general in to the warp.

I've never had a Grey Seer on a bell live past 2nd turn against Empire.

If you can fit in stormbanner and/or gutter runners they ought to help the bell survive and then you can have that larger leadership bubble altgough i cant see a bell in ur list

Victories and Losses (7)
Wizards (4)
Morale/psychology (2)
Characters (2)
Infantry (2)
Monsters/Monstrous infantry (1)
Warmachines (2)
Painting/hobby (6)

I always tend to field infantry in slightly larger units. Most of the time 60 strong. Also i would try and trim down the points on characters a bit. Don’t pay the 45 for the ward on the seer. It might seem mad but he is disposable with a warlord on the board. Also with the BSB he is probably going to get picked off in combat so don’t bother with the 5+ ward he will get a 6+ from hand weapon and shield. I would just take him with BSB shield and probably a dragon helm. Also would not bother with the MR 2 engineer. This edition magic resistance is pretty much redundant all the good damage spells ignore all saves anyway. Nor does it prevent the squad getting hexed to the point of useless then taken down by wherever your opponent had lying around.

But not sure i only play in a pretty limited meta game at the moment all the thing i have said could be wrong in the outside world

I play the heavy magic resist because my primary opponent loads up on full Death Lore magic. He'll snipe my characters, then cause panic tests.

I've updated the list, though.

Warlord - Warlitter, Armor of Destiny, Obsidian Amulet
Grey Seer - Power Scroll, Talisman of Preservation, Ironcurse Icon
Chieftain - BSB, Stormbanner
Engineer - Level 1, Dispel scroll
Engineer - Doomrocket
Engineer - Brass Orb

Clanrats - 36 - Shields, General here
Clanrats - 38 - Shields, Chieftain, Grey Seer here
Clanrats - 38 - Engineers here
Skavenslaves - 40 - Shields
Skavenslaves - 40 - Shields
Skavenslaves - 40 - Shields

Gutter Runners 6 - Poison, Slings

Giant Rats - 6
Giant Rats - 6
Giant Rats - 6

Hell Pit Abomination
Hell Pit Abomination
Doomwheel

Gives me 14 Drops on the table. I considered dropping the Gutter Runners for another 40 slaves.
