Plauge Priest-100 LvL2 mage- 35 Magic shield- 10 Foul Amulet- 30 Plague Furnace- 150 Why a furnace? you have to join monks as a pushing unit, and you have none. Also Skaven wizards can't have magic or even mundane armour (except Warlocks and the warpstone armour). So 160 points just opened up for you. I'd suggest putting them in a Warlord for some Ld bonus. 39 Clanrats - Full command w/shields 187.5 Solid and dependable steadfast unit 39 Clanrats- Full command w/shields 187.5 I'd change this one into multiple slave units. To add some numbers and more steadfast to your game warplightning cannons- 90 Can't go wrong with one of these ![]() chieftan/BSB-70 Storm banner- 50 Solid choice, i'd add a shield though 5 gutter runners- 60 poison - 25 slings- 5 As they should be fielded Flem, |

I can make sense of most of this, however in a thousand point army i can't have any lords so are there any other sugestions you have as to what i could use these poins for? |

Actually you can field lords under 2k these days. The table in every army book that says otherwise is over ruled by 8th edition stating that 25% of your force can exist out of lords. Flem, |

You should remove the costs for individual items like the Storm Banner and upgrades for Gutter Runners. Just a thumbs up. I agree with what Flem said. You can actually have Lords. I take it so that you haven't gone for percentages. With the 8th edition you can always have a Lord if you can fit him/them/her/it into 25% of your total army points. |

yeah, please do not post exact item and upgrade costs. post combined costs like clanrats (50) shields full command wind mortar 310 points other than that, Ill second up on flems comments. in 1000 points your really looking for some basic stuff, furnace is generally a no go because it costs to many points and really restricts your army. your main aim should be 100 modes, 1 hammer, and a bsb. wizard is really optional at this level and difficult to use if only level 2 (as any large magic phases will be mostly useless.) Warlord

I'd say at those points your hammer is either a Hellpit(cruel but true), a Priest on Foot with a somewhat decent sized monk unit, or a Doomwheel. Obviously the Monk unit is such a huge commitment, at i don't really see it working in 1k points. I'd really go for a DW. hellpits are so cruel in 1000 points, and the occasional access to fire will hurt your game. the Wheel is cheap, and it can deal with most things in the 1k range. |

can a warlord take the place of hellpit as a hammer for such a small game if geared correctly? or do the stats just not allow it? and just curious is it just to make it look better and take up less space you dont post costs? Edited by xinarin, 19th February 2012 - 06:46 AM.

A warlord can't replace a hellpit unless he's with either SV or PM. Tha hellpit can do such an insane amount of damage with impact hits, thunderstomp(against infantry, warbeasts and swarms) and still some insane attack outburst from his own tabel. A warlord by himself no matter how he is geared can never get that much damage done. Also in 1K points a big enough unit of ratogres can preform the hammer job aswell (probably one the only points where they don't suck). Also Math is correct, no individual point costs can be posted on the forum. Combined costs can be posted however (see math his example). Flem, |
