Warhammer Forge put the new Basilisk model up on their site, surely to be part of the upcomming Monstrous Arcana expansion book (also it is not explicit mentioned in the description): http://www.forgeworld.co.uk/New_Stuff/BASILISK.html

Great model and the experimantel rules seem to be fluffy and rather strong in my opinion.

Pretty awesome ...BUT..

further proof that they either don't re-read their rules once written or they have no idea what they are talking about...Why would Magic Resistance have anything to do with a close combat aura of death?!!?

Another example, on the Fimir, something to the effect of "5+ Scaly Skin, so combined with their heavy armor it gives them a total save of 4+" ...uh..you mean..3+?

I know they are "experimental" rules and all, but dear lord..put some EFFORT into it. Have anyone that knows anything about the rules read it and give it a thumbs up.

Thanks for the link, I think the model looks pretty good. Would make a neat Forest Dragon maybe? Though I'm not sure how big it is.

Yes, it's a pity they don't have a size comparison shot as they usualy do.

The monsters may be not exclusive for SoM - an older rumor by Harry on Warseer: " A book full of monsters. All laid out as scrolls of binding like in SoM. My sense of it was the Monsters in the book would have both a SoM style scroll of binding and if it was clearly for a particular army like a Skaven monster then the rules for using it with your Skaven army would be included. "

(Also this may only mean that the line " you can also use this as a rare choice in the ... army book." is included.)

EDIT: The size comparison pic is up now - you guessed it: its huge. 60 x 100 mm base, I would say.
