The one and only.

1. No more than € 10. 2. 64 pages sounds good, I don't know much about magazines so I don't know what is normal and what is not. 3. Paypal is okay, buying it in shops is better. 4. International. 5. Advertisements that are relevant to the subject of the magazine are fine. Just don't try to sell me a washing machine when I'm reading about paintbrushes. |

1) around 6-8 euro's 2) 64 sounds fine :-) 3) credit card is fine with me, but i'd prefer shops although this is harder option to achieve * starts daydreaming about an UE store chain* 4) Internation, like the forum 5)One can advertise, as long as it's kind of related to the content of the magazine. Cheap is best stick loads of adverts in it to start with can always phase it out after awhile. I wouldn't pay more than £3.00 I would prefer paypal if it is over the net. But saying that I would prefer a PDF version in all honesty. |

I'd take a look at Unseen Lerker then, that would be your primary competition. Not sure there's that much space in the market for more. Then again there are more general (ie historical) wargames magazines than I would expect could survive. |

I have seen Unseen Lurker, and to be honest, I am not impressed. There are some of the free webzines that offer both better content, and are more professionally designed. Again, it is the problem of a publication just rehashing the same ground trodden by the magazine before hand. Painting article, battle report, miniature pictures. Rinse, repeat. This is maybe 50% of the hobby, so we have another 50% that everyone just kind of makes up on their own. It would be good to explore the rest of this, and provide a way for everyone to grow all their skills, and not just the ones that directly relate to the miniature and rules companies. |

So ads have to be about McDonalds and shaving gear right? PS: I am offended by myself now. Edited by Scarr, Reincarnated, 11th February 2012 - 12:11 AM.

You forgot deodorant, too. But no, obviously the adverts (if any) would be ones that are applicable to the target market (that's us). It is a common misconception that you can just have space and it sells to anyone. Why would an advertiser bother advertising somewhere that its target market isn't going to be? Businesses usually try and avoid throwing money away. This is slightly off topic, though. |
