Hello there, fellow rat-men. In a few months there will be a friendly, get together and BS with each other sort of tournament that I will be attending. My goal is to have a list that will be fun to play, and fun to play against as well. This is what I have so far. CLAN SKRAT Lords Warlord (Skrat the Fat) - War-Litter, Talisman of Preservation, Dragon Helm, Dawnstone, Biting Blade, Shield - 218 (general) Warlord (Skrick the Quick) - War-Litter, Glittering Scales, Fencer's Blades, Potion of Strength, Rival Hide Talisman - 220 Heroes Chieftain (Skrag the Flag) - Battle Standard Bearer, Armor of Silvered Steel, Ironcurse Icon, Halberd - 122 Warlock Engineer (Skreen the Machine) - Level 2, Dispell Scroll - 125 Warlock Engineer (Skrot the Ratbot) - Level 2, Warp Energy Condenser - 120 Chieftain (Skreet the Elite) - Halberd - 47 Chieftain (Skrate the Great) - Halberd - 47 Chieftain (Skrall the Tall) - Halberd - 47 Chieftain (Skrack the Black) - Halberd - 47 Core 30 Clanrats - Shields, Full Command, Warpfire Thrower - 225 30 Clanrats - Shields, Full Command, Warpfire Thrower - 225 30 Clanrats - Shields, Full Command, Poison Wind Mortar - 220 30 Clanrats - Shields, Full Command, Poison Wind Mortar - 220 48 Slaves - Spears, Musician, Paw Leader - 126 48 Slaves - Spears, Musician, Paw Leader - 126 5 Giant Rats - Packmaster - 23 5 Giant Rats - Packmaster - 23 5 Giant Rats - Packmaster - 23 Special 8 Gutter Runners - Slings, Poison - 144 8 Gutter Runners - Slings, Poison - 144 Rare Doomwheel - 150 Doomwheel - 150 Each warlord gets a unit of clanrats to himself, then each engineer gets his own unit with 2 chieftains as bodygaurds. The BsB will go where needed, but probably in with the scroll caddy engineer. Does this look like a list that would be fun to play against? Nothing too over-the-top? Let me know what you think! It looks like a rather interesting list, but you failed to point out what level of wizards you are running the Engineers as. At the points value you're looking at with these guys, level 2's might not be enough to hold your own against enemy spellcasting. It's your call, but my fun and fighty skryre list runs Ikit Claw, as level 3 isn't ideal, but still a good defense against a lot of magic in the higher levels.

Thanks for the heads-up about wizard levels, I totally forgot to include them! I am not expecting magic to be too much of an issue, as everyone will be taking fairly tame lists for the event. It's definitely my weakest phase, and if I am against somebody with a level 4 then they will not have much trouble slapping me around with magic. My real hope is that my shooting phases are filled with entertaining misfires. Nothing beats a warpfire team running into a giant unit and taking out 10+ models with them. Or a doomwheel that goes out of control, just to ram straight into the enemy lines! |

Doomwheel misfires are both rare and forgiving, with only a 1/3 chance to cause damage to the wheel itself. At rhe same time they still hold my place for favorite rae. Those things are amazing for their points, even hellpits fear them.

Not really a skryre list with that many combat orientated characters and where are the cannons?

Hence why, "fighty," comes before skryre. With two doomwheels, the cannons would just be overkill. I don't want to be over-the-top with the list, and adding cannons would give me a little too much firepower. |

If you're looking for fun with some punch, but not too much punch, drop in some Globadiers and a few jezzail teams. Yes, the jezzails have a big punch, but for their points, they're a very niche unit. Same with globadiers. Besides, with Globadiers, you can lob shots into any melee regardless of whether the target has slaves involved. It's a win-win situation for a Skryre heavy list.

Globs are indeed fun, as are jezzails. I considered losing the rat drops and putting rifles on the chieftains, because I have never actually seen anyone bring one (let alone 4). The big question remains: does the list seem fun to play against? |

It definitely seems entertaining, but I do think the globs and jezzies would do a lot for making it a very skryre themed and entertaining battle, especially since the more it malfunctions, the more skryre it is. As it stands, though, I think it'd be pretty entertaining. |

it should have 5 PWG with a bombadier with death globe and 3 jezzails with a sharpshooter.
