3K Skryre Campaign list Rd. 2; 3k Skryre List

Ok, After taking some advice from Some great posters here on the boards, This is my 2nd attempt at forming a 3k list. I am intending it to be competitive with my gaming group, but I want it to be a Skryre list as well, I love the backstory and Fluff. I mostly play O&G, DE, HE, WE, OK, Brett, Dwarf, VC, and sometime Daemons..... That said, any comments/opinions or advice would be much appreciated! ( I know spears are still included on the clannies, but they are modeled that way, so unless I mix them in with the slaves, and I find a great use for them, the 40 points are staying there.)

looks good to me but i don't count

you my want to find points for more rats seeing how the rule is 1 for ever 10 point but i don't thing being -26 rats is going lose you the game


p.s. if you brake the poll off the spears they be come hand weapons :P just saying

I get everything but the PPP. what the hell is that doing there? if your worried about flyers just make sure to use storm banner and then tie them up.

Seems there is a half hearted attempt to gear this lord, why no 4+ ward save? why both a halbard and shield (the shield only gives him a +1 against ranged attacks, which is irrelevant so long as he is in a unit. no warlitter? it also makes little since for him to be hear as your grey sear should be the general.

I strongly dislike jezzails on the premise that they miss all the time. consider investing in globes (which have more effective uses and can act as rat darts in a pinch, something you don;t have)

Models 274/300 this is fine, its a little bit low of course but you have a little leeway when you go to 3000 from 2500. because in 3000 you actually have to worry about filling up all your deployment zone.

he probably dose not want his wiz to be his leader for the same reason i don't like it

its like putting all your eggs in one basket if you wiz gos so to dose the leader


p.s. i don't use a storm banner but then i shot like a wood elf. i also play WC a lot no need for one :D

then why bother taking the bell at all? the bell makes his wizard a prime target,

and he has the earthing rod. the earthing rod is good and keeps te grey sear safe from miscast so he can play general. I've been using a grey sear on a bell for a LONG time. it is perfectly viable.

the fact that his wiz is the prime target is why he wants his leader to be some one other than his wiz


but i do see where he loses out on some of the bells nicer Quality's

Re-Make of 3k Skryre List ( I think it is plenty Skryre-ey between 3 WLC 3 Engineers with gadgets and magic, 1 Doomwheel, Jezzails, 3 weapon teams ) Anyway, does this attempt seem more viable? and YES, I finally dropped spears!!! LOL I will convert spear models into slaves.... Agian, Thanks for any advice or critique! ( Formatted better this time as well )

Not a bad list, but looking through it, I noticed you're running a Deathrunner. An interesting model to say the least, but you aren't running him with any special upgrades, and the Gutter Runners break through most of their points in ranged attacks, that one extra attack isn't really worth the prices of naked Gutter Runner. 5+ Ward is nice, but I don't see how useful that's going to be. I did some math, you've got 3 points left over, and with the 12 from the Gutter Runner, you can drop him entirely for a total of 15, good for a basic common magic item. That also nets you enough points that if you chose, you could change the Doom-Flayer (55 points) into another Mortar or a Warpfire Thrower, but that's more a personal preference thing than a necessity. On a last note, if you dropped a single Stormvermin and a single Clanrat, you'd have at least 25 points left over to get a Dispel Scroll or an Earthing Rod, which in a 3k point game I think becomes even more vital than usual. It's essentially shaving small points, but since the Deathrunner isn't prone to provide that much extra punch, it's worth considering the options.

I think points wise Math, I can drop the deathrunner 12 pts. and the doomrocket warlock, giving the rocket to the warp condenser warlock, saves 15 more points.....total saved 27 pts. this lets me get the Earthing rod back for the Seer..... with 2 points left over.

I haven looked points wise, but if I drop one rat dart I think 25 pts. plus 55 from droppin the doomflayer gives me enough for a second poison globe launcher and maybe the musician for the bunker unit.... sweet sweet!

Thanks all for the comments/advice..... and jezzail wise, I guess they have just come in handy every time I face hvy Cav.... so until they don't work whittling them down consistently, I will leave them be.... and, I am too attatched to the fluff with them...lol!

they only have halberds..... dont even think hand weapons is an option, lol.....Army Builder just printed it up like that for some reason

Technically they have hand weapons, they simply never use them. Shields are still a decent option espicially if you plan on fielding mass numbers of sv
