Since 1000p army continues here, maybe i should try and evolve my list. ![]() Grey Seer 240 points Mage lvl. 4, W3 Warpstone Tokens Chieftain 72 points Heavy Armour, Shield, Battle Standard Bearer 20x Clanrats 102 points Light Armour, Shield, Musician, Standard Bearer 40x Clanrat Slaves 82 points Musician 40x Clanrat Slaves 82 points Musician 5x Gutter Runners 90 points Scouts, Skirmisher, Throwing Stars, Sling, Poison 5x Gutter Runners 90 points Scouts, Skirmisher, Throwing Stars, Sling, Poison Hell Pit Abomination 235 points a bunker unit and lots lots of rats!!! |

That's not over on hero's. 65 for naked engineer, 95 for engineer with doomrocket and 82 for BSB totals 242=less than 250 as for the under 25% core I forgot to type in shields on the clanrat unit Still.... drop an engineer... give abom spikes? maybe see if i can squeeze gutter runners in... what are thoughts on GR's with poison? worth it at 1K? |

With a Grey Seer as your caster , two extra lvl 1's is just unnecessary. You only have a single bunker unit to house all those characters, therefore making that single bunker such a juicy target that it will eat every single template/unit statistic test that the enemy can throw at it. I would say drop the naked caster warlock, keep the doomrocket one. I'd even consider dropping the caster level of the doomrocket one as well, since you have decided on taking a Grey Seer. I think you are making the common mistake of getting mesmerized by the shiny skaven toys and forget the importance of our basic assets. Many people have said that your list is short on models. You need at least 100 models whereas your list has only 70ish. Remember that the Clanrat bunker is not a combat unit. It will house your fragile characters which means you have to protect it from combat. With a single slave unit and the Hellpit, that is not happening. You need another slave/clanrat unit. That is why Randsan's list is more consistent(though 20 clanrats are small for a bunker unit, i would drop one Gutter unit for more clannies and something else) - Yes, Gutter runners can work at 1000 by disposing of your opponents limited number of warmachines, harassing and even assassinating characters that are less than optimally protected. What about the feasibility of using Clanrats as opposed to Slaves? I mean there's obviously a points and numbers difference, but would it really be so bad as to make the list way less competitive? Say something like.... Greyseer Engineer -Doomrocket Chieftain -BSB, Shield 2x30 Clanrats -Musician, Standard, Shields 6 Gutter Runners -Poison, Slings Hellpit |

Why 40 models short? What about if I converted a unit of Clan to Slave? Greyseer Chieftan-BSB Engineer-Doomrocket 35 Clanrats-Shields, Standard, Musician 40 Slaves-Shield, Musician 2 Rat Darts 5 Gutter Runners-Poison, Sling Hellpit That adds 24 Models |

Also, do people think the Abom is necessary? You could trade him out for 2 WLC's and more bodies or darts or gutters for that matter... |

I have never used an abomb I don't have to go to those kinds of lengths to win a game. Judge that how you see fit. Few things can out perform the cannon though. |

I've never ran an Abom. That said I've ran double cannons before with middling performance. I don't know why by Artillery dice hate me. My last game literally both WLC's and my Warpfire Thrower misfired and all exploded in the same turn. It was terror. So does everyone think that, the last list I posted should be okay? Is that the one I should start practicing with and tweaking from there? |
