Hot for the Sword Brethren, not that I am a fan of Spaas Mehreeeens but I really like those models.

Okay, firstly sorry for the 40K models but someone asked about the flayed ones earlier and I do love the deathmarks. Got to love anything with a sniper weapon. My bad, but I am glad to hear you are not upset about it Will.

On the LOTR thing I never thought the models were quite clear enough. The faces are "blobby" ( thanks to the GF for that technical term) with a lack of much discernable detail. To each his own of course but my personal opinion is a great resounding NOT.

Mutate: I had to look up pumbaagor but when I did I LOL'd. The GF is still laughing at how comical they are. To clarify I may be looking at older models. If I am correct in thinking that pumbaagor is a slang term for razorgor then the current model is not too bad.

The Green Knight (not finecast obviously)

Not. I love the detail, especially the horse, but the knight's corinthian helmet just doesn't sell it for me. It's just incongruous on a knight.

Yeah, it's the slang name due to its resemblance to Pumbaa. :P The pumbaagor is a new unit so that model is the first of its kind, but it is a disappointment considering it's a fairly recent model and GW has been pretty good with their boar sculpts in the orc range.

Fairly hot, though I always imagined the Doomflayer to be more like "The Cleaner" from the Labyrinth.

Ah, plague monks, once the best plastic skaven we ever had, now your lack of detail is still compensated by poseable left arms...

Hot, but only ignoring that it is Finecast. The model itself is quite nice.

Not, riders look nicely detailed and all, but the mounts are too small and badly proportioned (tiny back!) too my liking.
Ogres need a mount like the Thundertusk/Stonehorn, in terms of size, to look right.

It'll be a cold cold day in Hell-Pit when those models are hot...The armour's not bad but the silly vampire teeth on a couple and a few strange Nightmares make it lack something. And that price tag....

HOT. As far as I can tell the entire AoW range is awesome. Especially dwarf models though. They are much more dynamic and less comical than anything in the GW range for dwarves.

Dark Elves War Hydra.
