Quite hot. The model itself looks brilliant, i'm just a little concerned with the Grey Knight driving it. It looks like he's in one of those baby holders hanging around the body of a parent. :P Also wouldn't a simple headshot just take it out?

Hot

I really liked what they did with the VC models on the reboot, the Vampires themselves were well done although I didn't like the Von Carstein focus, give me Lahmians!

A pretty design let down by being a mundanely boring concept.

Not quite. Strange and nimble for a Warrior of Chaos. I think it would look to weird along other Warriors.

Overall they are fantastic models with a great potential for conversions and some kit bashing. Hotter than a (insert Blackadder quip here)

Not! I was considering getting into WHFB a few years back and had my eye on skaven. It was the fact that they all looked like semi-retarded monkeys put me off. Sorry if that offends anyone.

High Elf Lion Chariot.

Sorry - That was in reference to the old stormvermin. Hot - Love the IoB rat ogres. Not quite as dynamic as the boxed set one can be but much more character methinks.

I don't mind when I accidentally kill my own.  They were probably asking for it anyway.

Not! There is something wrong with all lord of the rings range IMO. Detail is just not quite what it should be.

Seriously? There are a few bad figures in the Lord of the Rings range, but most of the figures are spectacular. I think that the problem some people have with them is that their original designs come from Weta Workshop and are far more realistic in scale than GW's other figures. Tolkien said that he wanted his world to be treated not as a fantasy, but as an alternative imagined history, and the Perry twins have basically sculpted the Lord of the Rings figures as though they were historical miniatures. Most of these figures don't have the ornate, Gothic detail of Warhammer Fantasy and 40K miniatures--though check out some of the Gimli figures--but the poses, the way the garments hang, and the expression in the faces of key characters like Gollum, Elrond and Saruman is absolutely superb.

For me, I love the Lord of the Rings range, and feel that the most problematic miniatures are often the ones based on characters who were not in the films, and which therefore are not based on Weta designs; with some of these, heroic scale starts to creep in.

While i'm not sure the way the LOTR game system has been going recently, those pair are some hot models.
I agree with Math and Olorin, the LOTR range is brilliantly detailed, except for some of the plastic sets they have released.
The lack of detail on the Dwarf-things made me sad... :(

No they just have terminator armour, hence why they are Monstrous Creatures and not Vehicles, a cradle doesn't help much from snipers etc.

Hot, because I love LOTR, but also a possible NOT because I really don't like Gondor... ROHAN FTWWW!!!!

Also I thought we were only going with Fantasy models? (not bashing the LOTR they are fantasy but I assumed that Willqueek did not want Sci-Fi in here, just my 2 warptokens...)
