Here is the list I'll be taking to Alamo in a few weeks, I've continued to weaken it down by getting rid of the abom and third gutter runner unit, but gave it back a little punch with the furnace. I've built the list so that it shouldn't go perfect in the tournament, I've got other obligations that could force me to pull out of the tournament mid game and I'd hate to be stuck in a situation where I walk away from the 4-0 table giving someone a forfeit win who might not have earned it over the people on the 2nd and 3rd tables. I'm just going to play for fun, hoping to have a break even performance or maybe a 3-2.

Wow I knew you were good but not that good.

I like your tone down on the list and it should do it nicely.

@ Math, I have a feeling CD is going to rocket up a little higher after next weekend. And anyone who goes to a larger tournament that reports into HQ gets listed.

Feel free to use whatever you like, but I wouldn't really consider it a true "standard" list (no abom, doomwheel, stormbanner, doomrocket, bell) think a vast majority of people run a Bell-Seer or the Seer as their generals.

@ Scarr, I'm not, I've had a very lucky run with a lot of close battles.

@ Dan, thanks buddy. It'll go away soon enough.

Wow. Must admit it is nice to be able to yell "Scoreboard" when it comes to giving advice.

Did you go with the 13 Gutter Runners on purpose?

In the original list I had 3x6 poison sling gutter runners, and boy did they own just about anything on the board. Even if the opponent made a concentrated effort to kill them in the first turn they could never get all the teams, infact most opponents (even shooting heavy) could barely get one team off the board. They are just too good, especially with 3 of them on the baord so I dropped down to 2 . I wanted 2 units of 7, but the points squeeze wouldn't allow so they ended up 6 & 7; didn't even notice there were 13 of them lol.

Despite it's lack of defense the furnace has actually performed really well for me; even when it gets first turn killed by shooting. Just like the Abom (who I never had a game plan for in any of the games, he was just a nifty hard to kill distraction) the Furnace draws a lot of attention and scares the crap out of opponents, generally freeing up my other units to do their thing.

I consider everything in the army expendable, if someone wants to kill the Furnace, be my guest, if they don't, there's always a way to make it cause damage. It's win-win. Most armies if you take out their key piece, you wreck their battle plan, if you don't have a key piece, your battle plan stays fluid and makes it harder for most opponents to shut you down.

They have specific written scenarios setup for every round, they all vary from year to year and tournament to tournament. The scenarios drive usually anywhere from 4 to 5 points out of the 20 maximum possible for the round (wins typically worth 16 or 15).

I'm curious about the Rat Ogre Unit. Three just seems like an odd number(no pun intended). What made you decide on them?

3 have more punch, threat and survivability than 2; and are cheaper than 4.
