my newest list! has been successful thus far. I'm having a ball with it...alright the whole idea is to swamp the enemy with the slaves and to make use of the expendable rule. the stormvermin are more like flank attackers...Ikit Claw w/Stormvermin .Warlock w/slaves

General-Ikit Claw

Deathmaster Snikch (my usual)
Assassin-Warpstone Stars
Warlock Engineer-lvl 2 Wizard-Warpmusket

100 SkavenSlaves (horde)-spears & Shields-full command
25 stormvermin-full command-banner of the underempire-warplock pistol

2*10 warplock Jezzails-sharpshooter for both

Warplightning Cannon

total-1,999pt(lol)

tell me what you think guys...

ikit claw is fine.

2 assassins? hell i have a hard enough time earning the points back from 1. if your going to take any take deathmaster and leave the other one at home.

the warlock cannot be the bsb, only a chief may be a bsb, your list is illegal

100 skaven slaves, while impressive, is by no means a good idea, spells like flame cage, dwellers, plague, and other unit effecting spells will destroy that unit, hell one cast of pandemonium or the -3 leadership spell will see you pop quickly the spears also limit the effect of the shields.

also, the warlock will never fire the warpmusket unless he doesnt move, rther pointless as being a character he should always be on the move.

same goes for the stormvermin champions pistol.

assassin proves the need for the warlock moving useless, stormvermin is just a chuck in i'm not sure why anyone would be too phased about that...my luck with the assassin is not like yours, he's racked up a few kills in his day(still does rack up the kills) and the whole point (as i so clearly outlined) is to use the slaves expendable rule. and yes you are right about tha bsb (i'm tired) and a spell casting wizard? then hell i'll just take him out with the deathmaster

your also short about 60 models.

and most wizards now adays are clever enough never to get into combat.

and he may have racked up kills, but has he payed for himself? theres a big difference.

and i got your point about slaves, im telling you it wont work that way, you have to many points in character and not enough in troops. that 100 slave unit is your only decent block, once thats gone your army is basically gone. jezzails arnt ever going to make their points back either. you have a whole bunch of randomness and no cohesive force.

I once tried the Deathmaster. Turns out my target is a Chaos Lord of Tzeench with a lovely 2+Armor/3+ Ward save and a some magic armor allows me to only wound him once per any phase in the game. (So even if you deal 20 Wounds with deathmaster he still gets 1...)

Wasn't a good day for Clan Eshin, no sir it was not :)

oh hum, have they ever. I've lost twice due to the cowardly slaves, stegadons+ineffective shooting on skyre part of the army = nearly my whole army running for their lives with two dinosaurs running them down. My only consistent has been Ikit and my eshin part, except they do nothing when the whole army has been erased. Yeah pretty much it has been my luck that has kept me going with this list, I'm thinking of running a screaming bell+grey seer with the slaves at one stage(because that makes them unbreakable right?) but yeah...

cant run a bell in a slave unit, that would be insane.

you can run a bell in a storm vermin or clanrat unit which, with the help of a bsb, gives you leadership 10 rerollable.

I would have to agree on Mathusala0 here. (I hate typing that name... i need to triple check every time to see if its written right...)

I think your army can even be taken out with a 1500 point skaven army. As long as we bring enough magic and fire power. (Wont even need that...)
I'd rush towards your slaves and leave your jezzails useless once in round 2 (cause they cant shoot in a close combat fight.) I think its actually possible to make that entire unit flee with nothing more then 20clanrats on my side. (and a bit of luck on the dice rolls)
