Hey guys, just thinking about taking my army in a slightly more plague-oriented direction, so here's a proposed list:

Plague Priest @ 289pts
Level 2 Wizard, Flail, Plague Furnace

Chieftain @ 72pts
Battle Standard Bearer, Shield

30 Clanrats @ 155pts
Full Command, Shields

40 Giant Rats @ 144pts
3 Packmasters

40 Giant Rats @ 144pts
3 Packmasters

39 Slaves @ 78pts

39 Slaves @ 78pts

35 Plague Monks @ 300pts
Full Command, Plague Banner

7 Plague Censer Bearers @ 112pts

6 Gutter Runners @ 108pts
Slings, Poisoned Attacks

Plagueclaw Catapult @ 100pts

Total: 1500pts

Not designed to be ultra competitive.
The idea of the list is that the Plague Monks are of course the hardest unit, but besides them there are 180 more models of slaves and giant rats which hopefully will attract some fire. Hopefully, this'll also mean that the seemingly non-threatening unit of PCB's wont get killed instantly by shooting.
The clanrats are just a bunker for the BSB.
Giant Rats either go in horde formation or 8 by 5 or just deep for steadfastness depending on the enemy. Also depends on whether or not II roll the poison attacks spell.

1 option I was considering is dropping one unit of slaves and one unit of rats and a few more rats from the other unit, and buying a hellpit abomination. But wasn't sure.
I also wanted to get some rat darts in there, but can't find the points.
So what do you all think?
Any comments appreciated :)

personally id drop those big rat units for rat dart units, and just get more slaves. slave ares cheaper and fill the same roll for less points.

Hmm good plan, actually I just realized my list is currently illegal as Giant Rats don't count for core 25% *doh*

Your GR units do not have enough PM's, and are susceptible to loss of leadership from shooting. If you want to take that many GR's I would think about 6-7 PM's. What do you want your list to do? What do you have to deal with the different types of units that you might face, such as fast cav or flyers? I would think the furnace is too many points for a 1500 pt. list, but that's just me. Too many eggs in one basket, if you will. Keep working on it...

not bad but one problem.

Your Plague priest has to be your general and he has no protection other than T5... he dies and game over :P
