looks like the took the ETC team restrictions, buffed the model caps and then added chaos dwarves. basically, they nerfed the %#@$ out of all the top tier armies. Having said that, our nerf is not that big of a deal, at least you got 50 man instead of ETC 40 man. And your list is fine, seems to have a small shortage on models but thats offset by good characters. |

Noob Question here : Isn't Fencers Blades the WS10 weapon ? How does it benefit the Grey Seer ? |

Less chance of actually getting hit? High WS is both offensive and defensive. |

So it's purpose is to let most rank&file troops hit the Seer on 5+.... This makes me think of a Grey Seer wearing one of those Empire hats with extravagant feathers and wielding dueling sword in each hand |

The fencer's blades allow me to use the bell unit for combat, rather than its typically bunker role. You still have to pick your fights, but it's great for cleaning up weakened enemy units. Lore of plague compliments this strategy very well. Another thing which helped keep the seer alive is deployed the bell unit is deploying 5 files on both sides of the bell. This puts more clannies into the fight and usually less files in BtB contact with the bell, meaning less attacks on the seer.

i dont see how that minimizes hits on the bell, you still have to charge center to center. |

Incorrect. The charging unit must: Page 20 Second Paragraph of the "Successful Charges Section" Having 5 files of clanrats on either side will force most enemy units charging the bell to shift to one side or the other, since a Bell is a single model, and the enemy has to bring as many of his models and as many of the bell-unit's models into contact. It can shrink the profile of possible attacks on the bell (dependent on how wide the charging enemy is) ..eeeee cccccBellccccc e= enemy models c= clanrats Bell= Bell --Cap |

Precisely And another neat bonus is on dual charges Think of a plague monk/furnace unit deployed the same way, charging with the bell unit into an enemy horde p = plague monks furn = plague furnace ________eeeeeeeeee cccccBellcccccpppppfurnppppp Ouch!!! Obviously the furnace is optional. It works with a normally ranked unit too. Also, different size enemy units will change the number of files required in the bell unit, but you get the point. Also if your BSB is in bell unit you can keep him on the other side of the bell, safe, and out of combat. Playing more a more aggressive bell unit allows for better use of the plague lore, better use of the bell rolls, more protection for the seer, more points of your army in the fight (no bunker), and remember once your in combat you don't have to worry about enemy shooting.
