I would go for castleing that but your going to have problems fitting things into 12 inch leadership, and as willqueek said, dont think a single hellpit will cut it on the killing power, you've gone far and above the recomended amount of models, (minimum 150 where you have 240) so maybe drop a few units and buy some weapon teams or maybe a small unit of plague monks |

I really wanted to put some pms in here (I just bought another box after my slaughter the other day). I had a unit of 30 in there, but I decided to take it out in favor of the Abomb. I also had 30 storm vermin in there, but i wanted a grey seer over a warlock, so i took out the storm vermin. What do you think I should ditch to get some pms? |

one unit of clanrats and one unit of slaves will get you a decent sized unit of either SV or monks. i mean, idk, you need more hitty power, one hellpit and a greysear are not going to single handedly beat chaos i mean you'll beat elves |

Are plague monks better than storm vermin? I've never used them before. I've used stormvermin every game, but they notoriously underperform. I keep using them for fluff reasons, but in game, they don't do much good at all. Got same armor save as shield clanrats, minus the parry save. The only benefit is +1 strength. Anyway, how does the screaming bell perform? I havent used it yet, but my bell is almost ready. Do you think it would be a worthy addition to this army in leau of plague monks? |

it would but you cant field it as youed go over points in lords. storm vermin also have an inititive and ws over clanrts lol ido say a unit of plague monks with plague banner will outperform the vermin, but idk really |

New List: 30 clanrats +shields +musician +banner 30 clanrats +shields +musician +banner 28 clanrats +shields +musician +banner (bunker for gen. and bsb -- i dont intend to get this unit into combat) 30 slaves +musician 30 slaves +musician 30 plague monks +musician +banner 6 Rat Darts 1 Abomb Grey Seer General (shadow magnet trinket) BSB +shield ---on a side note, with this list get slaughtered by ogre kingdoms, do you think? --also, i am thinking about ditching the 2 slave units and a rat dart for either another clanrat unit, or a weapon team or two. |

If somehow they manage to take out your Grey seer, then you re out of business. Personally , at a 1500 game, I'd go for a lvl 2 warlockengineer and a lvl 1 warlockengineer. Or a lvl 1 warlockengineer and a plague priest. You ll save up a lot of points. Furthermore...In the shooting fase... you re just gonna sit there doing nothing at all? Its not a bad idea trying to put it all in your close combat units. But that ll probably leave you running around chasing everything, while they simply shoot out your units. Remember that, if they play it dirty, it could take you 3 turns before you reach your opponent... (if the table is 48 inch deep, that is). Thats three free turns for them to shoot down everything they can. Even in close combat, those units arent strong. You ll have to be able to outmanouvre them (which leaves you once again a sitting duck for ranged attacks). And then the strongest unit you have...you leave at the side line?????? Why? Its like sneaking a can of coke into a movie theater and being too chickened to drink from it once the lights are turned out. (My god , what a comparison, hey? ) Take at least two weapon teams with you, and make sure your opponent wont kill them before they got to take a first shot. (so pwm or wlc) If you remove your grey seer and replace him with cheaper warlock engineers or plague priests, then they can each enter a different unit and provide them their higher leadership. Give them each Warp lightning and you ll be able to take a shot or two in the magic phase. If you are facing opponents with low killing power , then you might consider splitting up the two slave units in 3 slave units of 20 each. When they flee, they cause damage too. I personally find it a very poor list. But maybe i just dont see the tactics in it. |

the grey sear gives him leadership 7, warlocks only give him 5. the grey sear is a level 4, the warlocks are level 2 at most. also, you wont save that many points. he doesnt have ranged, but he doe have a level 4 caster I do agree with the strong unit being in the middle of the table. i dont know what to recommend for the weapons teams but i do think it be worth it. the grey sear can give out his leadership to more than one unit... and its better too... breaking the slaves down will do less damage in the long run os the max breaking hits arnt worth it, it also opens you up to the potential of (threw shooting) that your slaves may cause mass panic among other slaves. |

For me this list has a lot of models that can't do anything... if your opponent is close to matching the amount of units in your army (providing flanking problems for you) i dont expect this list to do much at all. Also your Grey seer is super vunerable, there are a lot of spells out there that can kill him in one hit such as dwellers bellow or spirit leach. my suggestion is to combine a few of your units to make clanrat units of 40 and emply two WLC (in my opinion they are much better than weapon teams). howver this means you will be over 25% for rare unit choices... perhaps not then if you are wishing to use a HPA. Instead maybe use the points saved from combining units and to get plaguemonks. Just a quick modification of your list... 2 units of 40 Full command, shields 30 slaves +musician 28 Slaves + musician 30 plague monks +musician +banner 6 Rat Darts 1 Abomb Grey Seer General (shadow magnet trinket) BSB +shield |
