I was wondering the following:

If I would go to a tournament with a few Rat Darts made from the Plaguemonk and Doomwheel boxes will this be accepted?

The rats are quite big alot bigger then the rats from the ratswarms but also slightly smaller then the ones in the Ratogre box.

I have about 24 of these rats so it would save me quite alot of money to use them as giant rats, would just hate if people would cry about it at tourneys.

Also how many ratdarts do you guys usually take with you in 2500 games?

Plenty of people use these as giant rats. I don't even think most players would notice the difference, so knock yourself out :)

Regarding number of rat darts I would say 3-4 at 2500 points seems fairly standard. that should be enough to give you a deployment advantage, but not so many that they become a liability (with respect to panic tests).

I have about 40 of them :)

I even stuck 2 on a base for some of them, makes it look proper dynamic on the field =)

I have around 75 Giant Rats, coming from the Rat Ogres, Plague Monks, and Doomwheel boxes. I try to think of ways to vary my bases slightly, using small mounts of green stuff on some to make slightly rolling ground, as well as rocks and tufts of grass. I've seen 20mm bases with multiple small Giant Rats on them, and they look great, but I'm too cheap to do that myself.

Why not :-) they are a bit smaller then the ones from the rogre box but meh, i've usef rats from any where i can find them (doomwheel, rogres, plague monks, old clanrats, corpse cart,...). Unlike Olorin i'm not that cheap and placed 2 on one base, they look really dynamic. Bttw no offense Olorin, we kid because we love ;-)

Haha today I just had the best deal ever.

A guy sold me the following:

120 island of blood clanrats
6 island of blood rat ogres
doomwheel unasssembled and partially painted
Screaming bell with top part unassembled so still able to choose to use as furnace or bell
Everything else from 3x island of blood boxes except weapon teams

for a total of 70 euros.

Great deal ofcourse, but since I like convertin I asked him if he had some spare bits as well. So he added all spare parts from plaguemonks box, screaming bell box, doomwheel box, warplightning canon box and stormvermin box all for free.......

Now I have a grand total of 75 "Giant" rats and tons of other awesome bits. I'm extremely excited as you can understand.

The Plague Monk Giant Rats are a bit smaller but the ones on the Doomwheel are exactly the same size, and in some cases, the same models, as the Rat Pack/Ogre box.
So definitely use them!
And thanks, Flem, you just reminded me to go raid my old VC sprues :D

It would probably fly if you have them on the right bases I doubt anyone would notice the difference.
