I have just a quick question, can Death Globe and/or Brass Orb be thrown into combat by a Warlock that is in a unit of slaves when that unit is in combat. sorry if the question is a bit hard to understand.

No. Only slaves have the "expendable" rule, which allows you to shoot into combat. If any other troop types (or characters) are involved in the close combat, you may not shoot into that combat. Secondly, I don't even think you are allowed to throw the Death Globe / Brass Orb when you are in close combat. I guess they work just like any other missile weapons, which means you can't shoot while fighting. I can see that one can get confused since poison wind globadiers are allowed to throw globes into their own combat, but there is no reason why their rule shoot extend onto other thrown globes/orbs. On the other hand, you could make a stand-and-shoot with them when getting charged... |

Since the Brass Orb and Death Globe are thrown like Stonethrowers, do they inherit the new 8th edition stonethrower ability to be thrown via indirect fire (at something unseen but only guessed at, with more severe scatter?) Merhotep I'll add this to the FAQ thread (too late for the first set that Warlock Matik sent to GW on Friday...) |
