Hey guys, I've seen in a lot of the posts that warlords on bone breaker mounts gain +1 wound... is this some monstrous mount rule? what am i missing? I don't currently own the BRB (in a non english speaking country....) |

I can't find any such rule in the BRB, and I can't think what the person(s) saying that might have meant instead. Merhotep |

Yes, it is a rule for monstrous calvary in the BRB. Note Monstrous Calvary is not the same thing as Riding a Monster like a Dragon. In short; Monstrous Calvary acts as one model for the purposes of damage (you can't target the rider or the ride like you could a rider and a monster), the rule specifically states to use the highest wounds between the two profiles as the profile for the whole model. Since the bonebreaker has 4 wounds, you use his wounds (essentially adding a wound to the Warlord) for the entire "model". Note that does not mean they have 4 wounds "each", it's 4 wounds shared for the entire model. Once the model takes 4 wounds the warlord and bonebreaker are removed together. --Cap Edited by CapAmr05, 15th September 2011 - 04:54 PM.

Yes, thanks! (I think this is a "+1" in Underempire-speak) I missed that completely! Merhotep |

This might be the 8th edition rule that I like least, since it means the T value of any monstrous mount is going to waste. Especially sucks for my WE lord on his stag, but it's also a drag wrt the Bonebreaker. Although the BB is seriously underpriced, so it's hard to complain too loud about that one. |

i believe that the bonebreaker has been faq'd to a war beast so i dont think it gives your character +1 armour pr +1 wound for being monstorous cavalry |

That's half right: the bonebreaker by itself is a Monstrous Beast but with a warlord mounted on it it becomes Monstrous Cavalry. |
