Warlord

I know, i already posted a topic with newbie questions. But i fear that people will mix up the answers and then i wont be able to see the thingie through the things. (something with wood...) Here come my questions : 1) am i allowed to place 3 warlock engineers in one unit? 2) suppose i did just that (number one) and i make them all lvl 2 wizards. Does that mean i get to use ALL 6 spells of ruin? 3) if you have two wizards, using the same lore of magic , and one wizard uses f.e. skitterleap. Is the other wizard allowed to use the same spell then too? (in short, can i use a spell twice, if i have two wizards? ) 4) Running with the pack (page 53 of my armybook) while leading rat ogre packs with at least a single rat ogre alive, packmasters and master moulders are immune to fear. However they are too busy to ever count their numbers for rank bonus. But a packmaster in a unit with Rat ogres, does get "strength in numbers" . So do they get +1 or not for leadershiptest if there is a full row of rat ogres in the unit? (full being 3 rat ogres , since they re monstruous infantry, i believe) 5) WFT can stand and shoot if charged. So it says in the armybook (page 60 " rapid reaction") But WFT is stand or shoot normally. So i cant move first and then shoo... oh wait...Right... there s no movement from my side in another players turn before a charge, right? Ok, got this one covered already. Love the WFT !!!! 6) giant rats...again... Is it allowed to put Giant rats in a 3 base unit? this looking like this: (G= giant rat P= Packmaster) GGG GGG GGG P Or must it be a full 5 wide unit? (I m just asking because i have 18 giant rats at the moment :-) so i could make 2 units, if im allowed to use this formation) and since the giant rats are allowed to attack from the 2 first lines in close combat, along with the packmaster who is allowed to whip his whip over 3 lines of Giant rats...this would make quite a bit a pain for my enemies. (And i have plenty of enemies...) 7) this one, you ll like. Suppose i have 2 units of Rat ogres. Each with their own packmaster. I keep them close enough together, but still seperated. All of the sudden, those dirty rotten bastards (aka the opponent) shoots one of my packmasters, leaving my formidable, valuable, strong Rat ogres standing there being stupid. Can the packmaster from the other unit then decide "oh look, there s two more over there without a packmaster. I ll take them in my group and whip their sorry assets back to work" . ??? Or are packmasters pretty much like "oh look... 80 points running stupid...ah well...not my problem..." 8) my boss is gonna do a teambuilding day in a week and ordered us to bring along some personal item to talk about. Would it be fun to bring along a Skaven? Or would I be stamped a Geek for the rest of my career? |

1) Yes 3.) I'll answer 3 before 2. Wizards cannot learn two of the same spells unless it is the signature spell. For skaen the signature spells are listed for each caster. Warlock engineers use warplighting, Grey seers can either use skitter leap or dreaded 13th, PPs can take pestilent breath. The sig spells can be taken as many times as you want, but the others can only be taken once. 2.) Yes, but they must all know different spells, unless you chose to switch a spell for Warplightning. Since there is an option for warlock engineers to switch one spell for warp lightning, then all them may know it. It is basically their signature spell like the lores from the rule book 4.) a Rogre unit and Grat unit do get strenth in numbers, but the pack masters don't count as models when determining a completed rank, so you only count the Rogres or Grats when figuring out how many complete ranks are in the unit. 6.) Yes, you can deploy/reform to any shaped unit you want as long as all ranks (except the back rank, which can be smaller) are equally wide. 7.)No, pack masters cannot leae their packs. 8.) Depends on the people you work with, if they are marture enough then it will be fine Mutate: Damn you matik. Edited by Razuli, 22nd August 2011 - 03:14 PM.

I would not bring my Warhammer models to work - I don't really talk about them at work. People WILL label you in some way, most likely as a geek. While this is unfair and silly, it is still the way most of the world feels about Warhammer. |

Ablabab is right. This isn't even about bringing a Warhammer model to work, it's about bringing a model to a team building exercise. Team building exercises are designed to allow your supervisors to evaluate you in four areas: 1. Teamwork 2. Leadership 3. Loyalty (aka company spirit) 4. Attitude Any question that you're asked, anything you're asked to do, is going to be a test in those areas. Things like creativity and independent thought have no place here. Your boss wants to see that you can function as part of a team, that you can take initiative and assume a leadership role, that you will cheerfully do whatever you're asked to do, and that you want to win. The ideal "personal" item would be something like a trophy or shirt from your soccer (football) league, where you led your team to victory. A military decoration you'd earned, or maybe a memento from when you led a team of climbers up Mount Everest, saving everyone's lives and carrying your unconscious guide on your back unaided during entire the trek down (all of the others were too exhausted) would be even better, but you don't have to aim that high. An athletic trophy, a team jersey, or a cap would be fine. Unless you work in a very geeky environment (software development, animation, etc.) that's what they want. If you don't have something athletic (and it can be very old; even if you bring in a trophy you won when you were 8, you can claim it influenced you for the rest of your life), you should bring some other item reflecting your leadership role or excellence in a group activity. It does have to be from a group activity: something showing that you won a writing contest, or that you were brilliant in debate or chess won't count. Remember, it's all about Team Building. They don't want to hear that you like to read, that you're an intellectual, or that you like to paint miniature figures. It goes without saying that they also don't want to hear about anything that pegs you to any political, ethnic, or religious group: obviously, they want to avoid controversies, but it's more than that. You're supposed to show that you can be part of the company team, which means that your one identification, for the purposes of this exercise, should be with the company. So no Warhammer figures at work. |
