Any Battle Foam Owners?

I definitely need to buy something to store/transport my army. Tossing everything loosely into the battalion box or ziplock bags isn't working very well anymore.

I have looked into battlefoam since they cand hold everything so well. Do you guys have any recommendations? Which foam tray is best for Stormvermin? Which case do you have? I was thinking the 720 case should be large enough, would anybody recommend that one?

It should be big enough I would magnetize the bases as well makes transport much easier.

Yeah, I was thinking too...Maybe get only a couple custom trays for the Wheel, Abom, Bell/Furnace. Then get a few trays with rectangular holes to place an already organized/magnetized movement tray for the units. Has anybody set up that type of configuration? I wouldn't mind having trays to hold individual units, but assembling the masses for battle takes long enough, so I'm also thinking about magnetizing the movement trays.

I actually bought a limited edition black Battle Foam 720 bag back in November, during their annual Thanksgiving weekend sale, but I haven't received it yet. The delay is entirely on my end: I've been obsessing over tray designs. Naturally, I want everything custom-cut, and it's difficult to gauge, given that I haven't finished building my army yet. The people at Battle Foam have been great, though; they haven't rushed me at all, but they do call every few months to remind me that they do have my already-paid-for bag, and they're just waiting for my tray designs.

By the way, their custom tray designer doesn't have pre-drawn shapes for the Hell Pit Abomination, the Warp Lightning Cannon, or the Plague Claw Catapult, so you'll have to figure out those yourself.

I love designing trays. Here is one that I'm especially pleased with:

This tray will be 1-inch high, capable of holding 75 Giant Rats (more if I double-stack), along with 7 regular Packmasters, 2 extra-tall Packmasters/Master Moulders (designed to fit the Master Moulder with Shock Prod from The Island of Blood), Skweel Gnawtooth, and Throt the Unclean. Note that I left a full inch at the center bottom, so there's room for custom text, reading "Giant Rats".

I already own a lot of custom Battle Foam trays for my Lord of the Rings figures, so I know that I love their quality. This will be my first Battle Foam bag, however. I really have to get moving on this.

Olorin, what did you decide for your Clanrat/Slave and Stormvermin trays? I read that the 91 slot Small Troop tray isn't the best for Clanrats/Slaves, your thoughts?

And you are crazy not to have your stuff shipped from almost a year ago!!

The 91-model troop tray would be perfect for Clanrats or Skavenslaves, if only the models weren't carrying weapons. If you buy the 91-model tray in the 1.5" deep size, it will hold many of your Clanrats and slaves, but only if they're not carrying spears and don't have any weapons sticking too far out. If you've got tons of Clanrats and/or Skavenslaves with hand weapons, one of the 91-model trays might be useful, just as long as you have another tray for the models with protruding weapons. For me, getting these trays customized has been one of my major holdups. But, as you can tell, I tend to be obsessive; I'm for custom all the way!

Stormvermin have been one of my other big holdups, since I haven't built mine yet, and don't know how much space they'll take up. They're much bigger than Clanrats, and have protruding halberds, so it will be a challenge.

I know that my delay seems crazy, but I already have plenty of GW cases and general Battle Foam trays to hold the models that I have complete. For me, it seems crazy to be in a rush to get a case for models I haven't built yet. I'd rather get my Battle Foam 720 case right than soon....

I don't blame you, I am also a little obsessive. I would also rather have it done correctly rather than immediately. But I'm unable to even commit to purchase unless I feel it will be what I want it to be.

I use KR. Their standard case that holds 160 (4 trays of 40) is perfect for clanrats/slaves and storm vermin. They also do pick n pluck trays of varying depths that are ideal for warmachines.

I also use KR for 40k. My 4000pts + SM army fits in two cases (and thats with 2 land raiders!).

I use KR.
Thanks for posting this. This fits my needs great. Modular card board cases that I can buy a little at a time. I dont want to plop down $200 all at once.
