So today I played a game with my friend who plays dark elves, he used the most overpower spell I have ever see (if we were playing it right) it was called Soul Stealer, this is what it did."Target one enemy within 12in, which may be in close combat. Every model in the unit takes a str 2 hit with no armor save allowed. Each unsaved wound adds one wound to the caster but can not double the scerceress's starting wounds. Casts and and 10+" We played it so the whole squad of clanrats took wounds that they couldn't save and all died.... My question is did we play it wrong or is this the cheapest spell ever? |

Did you roll to wound? Str2 against T3 means a 5+ to wound each rat so only about a third of your unit should have died. | |

It's only powerful on T3 troops on T4 it kinda sucks. As already said you should lose 1/3 of your unit. It is a cheapish spell but then again he still needs to wound them. |

The New Lunar Republic!

If anything their most broken spell now is probably Power of Darkness. With 2D6 power dice only, anything able to exceed that is pretty awesome ![]() Good to hear you won in the end. -Blader |

It's not all that horrendously cheap. The High Elves have Flames of the Phoenix which is every model in the unit takes and S3 hit (armour saves as normal) and it's only 11+. Very useful for whittling down massive numbers which the Elf-types can struggle with in combat. They're not nearly as horrifying as Dwellers anyway which can take characters down with them as well. And anything in combination with Shadow is deadly. I love Shadow with my Elves.
