Since the bell takes up about 3 clanrats worth of space. Would i only need 7 in the front row to be a horde? |

Doesn't the Screaming Bell displace 15 clanrats? I'm sure it's base is equivalent to 3 rats wide by 5 rats deep.... |

The Bell counts as however many models it displaces. So 3 on each rank, 5 ranks deep. Those displaced areas count for your Rank Bonus. -Blader |

And to answer the OP's question, yes, you'll only need 7 clanrats per rank for horde formation with a bell. |

Your bell should never be in a horde. - It has very limited offensive potential - Your squishy general is sitting on top of it(!!!), and being 60mm wide, will have way too many attacks coming his way. - your bell is mostly a point denial upgrade, and should be kept safe in a bunker unit. Use it in a 5 wide unit, maybe with a BSB tucked away in the second row (due to the command group) |

I have never used the bell, but this is the first time I have read anybody recommend running it 5-wide... I have never really thought about running it in less than horde formation. |
