Uh, no it isn't. Germans can buy it EARLY, but it'll still be put on general sale later.

Hmm, wow, viewed from the opposite side the Verminlord is almost a different model. I like it much better than the first, 'paunchy', view. Not sure if I like it enough to pay Forgeworld prices, but at least now I'd consider it. Although it'd probably be cheaper to hire Clan Eshin to steal me one, if I had any warptokens at paw.

Sweet, and honestly that price does seem rather fair when compared with how much GW wants for a Hellpit. |

The new rules are up and it's way more worth taking than a regular VL. Wish Forgeworld rules were "officially official" |

Is it? I don't know, but if I compare this model (which is a hell of a lot more points) to the armybook Vermin Lord, the most interesting difference comes from boosted stats (which are nice, but still won't save you from a cannon ball), that are kind of rendered useless when you look at that unstable rule. Sure, it is better, but looking at the 2200 points standard (???) for tournaments these days, it's also a third of your army value. Greetz |

Hmmm this new rules for the Vermin lord a more what i had in mind, however a little too extreme. M WS BS S T W I A LD 8 8 4 7 7 7 8 7 9 So always strikes first causing D6 wounds? maybe change it back to D3, reduce his strength, wounds and attacks to six and make the weapon ignore armour saves like the old rules (if im not mistaken...) Hmmm 775 point cannon target? Empire/dwarf player: "YES PLEASE!" imagine a dwarf cannon with a flaming rune? and still only a 5+ ward... People need to stop complaining every time a new monster comes out that they're still vulnerable to cannons. Yeah, we get it. That's the whole reason cannons exist in the game! Also, we are as well-equipped to deal with it as anyone else. Storm Banner turn 1. Screen the EVL with a Hellpit, if you can (though random movement can complicate this). And, of course, the EVL has movement 8, so it will almost certainly be in combat on turn 2 anyway. One big thing in those rules is an interaction that I'm not totally certain about, given that I don't know how Forgeworld rules generally incorporate into the main game. But here it is: the EVL has Ld 9.... and does not have the ban on generalship that a normal VL has. But I don't know if that means he can be your general (I can't even figure out from which points allowance he's taken... Lords?) |

The exalted version comes from your storm of magic 25% extra allowance and is equal in points to the exalted greater demons.(thought better then them except maybe the exalted guo) And if I understand correctly the verminlord wil be in the new book from forgeworld for the Chaos Dwarfs. and all the monster in there for SOM are legal in GW games by my understanding.though you could simply use this(awesome) model as a regular verminlord if yopu dont play SOM. what are people's thoughts on the banebeast? usable as a mount?

By banebeast, do you mean brood horror? Assuming you do, I hate it. It just looks bad. |

Yes i meant the brood horror was kinda tired and mixed it up with the monster from maelstrom. What are people's thoughts about its stats? usable as a mount? i thought it was pretty bad till i saw the impact hits that makes it kinda good i think.

Seems like a worse Hell Pit Abomination. I will say, looking at it, giving it Skryre Claws would make it a useful can opener against Chaos Warriors and the like. They'd be at like -5 to their armor save which negates it completly. But that model! It looks so half assed. |
