Play against someone with catapults and you know why you took the shields.

Land a stone from a stone thrower into the middle of a unit and you get 1 Big hit and 20 little hits. The little hits at Str 3 allow a full save. The shields will save you 3-4 stormvermin for each full hit. A unit of 40 Stormvermin needs to make 5 more saves than would otherwise have been made for the shields to be worth spending the points on rather than just more boddies.

Why U do dis?!
screaming skull, araknorok (s1(3) actually) and the scraplauncher (though that has killing blow) to name 3. Trebuchet might be as well.

I am looking to get a hold of the following items, as many as possible:
The new style skulls from numerous kits (less heroic scale skulls)
Any bits of skeletons (both older skeletons and new vc skeletons)
Toppers from stormvermin banners (grey seer type skulls)

I have lots of fantasy and 40k bits to trade, including:
Imperial guard special and heavy weapons
Daemonette bits
Bits from land raiders, and chaos space marines
clanrat arm weapons
hellpit arms
Ghoul and zombie bodyparts
older metal Chaos marines

Message me if you can help.

A blood curling cough a day, keeps the assassins away

Scrap launchers and mortars are at St3(although the mortar has armour piercing).
Trebuchets are at strenght 5, very lethal stuff!

Playing skaven to minimize randomness is like going to prom with your sister, you can do it if you really want, but in the end everyone will still laugh even if you do get lucky.

I always take at least one Warpfire Thrower. You can't always rely on your opponent to do massive damage to your troops. Sometimes, you just have to do a job yourself.
