Hello fellow Skavenplayers. I am in a two figth with myself, I am currently busy with a Skaven project and i need only: a pack of stormvermin, Plague monks and a Doomwheel. To finish that, But i also LOVE the forgeworld chaos dwarves. I just don't know it anymore. Option 1 is: Buy skaven, have 1500 points and wait till birthday or enough money. Option 2 is: Buy chaos dwarfs, but unable to play them, maybe use 'm as normal dwarves. Or as WoC, i don't play WoC, but a small army is possible. PLease give you're oppinion or advice. |

I'm biased, so my suggestion would be none of the above and buy a Blood Bowl team. ![]() No, it all depends on what your favourite part of the hobby is. If you're all about gaming, building through with your Skaven army is the most sensible option. If you like modelling and painting, I'd go for the Chaos Dwarves. Greetz |

The Chaos Dwarfs are not only going to be less usable but you will get less for your money. Personally I would say go with the Skaven since you can actually play with them but keep an eye out for any cheep Chaos Dwarfs on eBay. Then again I'm spoilt since I have both. ![]() |

One project at a time. I'm picking up the last things I need for my 10,000pt Skaven army tomorrow, then I'm not buying anything else until they're all painted. Luckily, I just finished painting Tretch today, meaning as I sit here, my whole Skaven collection is painted. After Skaven its a 3000pt (maybe 5000pt) Necron army, then Ogre Kingdoms, then Bretonnians. Then I'm working on a big Ordo Hereticus army comprising of Grey Knights, Imperial Guard and Sisters Of Battle. Then I dunno what I'll do. But I'm not starting one before I'm finished the other. From what I gather, the book they're producing is along the lines of the Imperial Armour books, meaning that while it will contain a full army list you'll still need your opponent's permission to use it. So in that regard, if you do choose Skaven you at least won't have to worry about not being able to use them. That said, you could easily use the CD as counts-is models as you've said (providing your playing group is happy with that), but they are a lot more expensive and will be more difficult to construct. I'd say buy the skaven first and finish off that, then later on you can look at Chaos Dwarfs when the book and whole range has been released. |

Personally, I'd go with the Chaos Dwarves. I just love the new models, and I'm more into collecting interesting models than collecting a coherent force. ~ Happy Yeti |
