Myth is correct; they even made it a point to address this in the latest FAQ; monsters/handlers characteristic test question. The hydra is stuck using his own I.

I think I'd roll off for it each battle, as rules wise I would say they didn't get LoS, but I feel fluff wise they should, as a 'brave' soldier pushes his leader our of the way only to find himself now directly over the crack and disappearing into the abyss!

I seem to remember an FAQ or something that said they don't get it. But I can't find it now

Found it! B) Although my worst fears are confirmed, it's a customer service response; take that as you will...

-- Crack's Call

Q. Can a lord/hero/character in the path of Crack's Call be saved by 'Look our Sir!'?

A. No, since Crack's Call is no longer a template spell, by the rules; they may not have a Look Our Sit. But it may be wise to give the player a Look Our Sir, as it is very tough to be hit by that spell and may result in that player avoiding you if you show no mercy. Consult with your Tourny judge first, because rules as writte: "No" but many people implied the rules that "Yes, they can." and in previous versions of the game Crack's Call was a Template spell. This has since been changed.
