Hi guys,

I'm in a game and my Skaven book was heisted by another friend so I can't check.

Do I have to roll 1d6 with the Screaming Bell on the first turn in order to be entitled to roll 3d6 on turn 2? Or can I just roll no dice on the first turn and still roll 3d6 on turn 2?

Thanks!
Jason

In the first turn you can only roll one dice, but you DON'T HAVE to roll one dice to get 3 dice next turn

sorry if im late!

mutate: p.s. I was writin this before the plea, but I still expect payment!! ;)

The army book only says "for the first toll" for the 1D6which leads me to believe that you must roll a single D6 first before you can roll multimple D6's in later turns, but otherwise you can decided what turn you want to start ringing the bell, it doesn't force to start on any given turn.

Playing skaven to minimize randomness is like going to prom with your sister, you can do it if you really want, but in the end everyone will still laugh even if you do get lucky.

I always take at least one Warpfire Thrower. You can't always rely on your opponent to do massive damage to your troops. Sometimes, you just have to do a job yourself.

Thank you so very much! I have a sent my best slave with the payment of warpstone who should arrive within a few days (unless he is killed, of course).

Only reason I can think of is if you don't want to get the compulsory move result - either because it would slam it into a wall or cause the bell unit to surge out from your battleline. But TBH, I'd rather get it up to 3 dice as soon as possible and start getting my free scorches/war machines die results.

oh, yeah that result - but yeah, i'd always be throwing dice at my bell no matter what (too much fun/temptation)

if you are worried bout it surging forward dont move it so far in the movement phase.... generally nothing really bad can happen when you roll one die... can it. lol

Yeah, you can decide that you don't want to be too close to the enemy, assume you're going to roll a 3 or 4 on the advance and then get a different result or a 1 on the advance and find yourself out of range for all the spells you wanted your Seer to cast.

Not terrible, but it can be a pain in the butt if you were expecting to sneak forward a few inches and got 12 power dice for the turn with no way to use them...

if your 24" away from the enemy i cant see how D6 movement could be that detrimental... lol.
besides i think you are allowed to use that movement to turn... so just turn him an inch then back an inch... lol.
