Well, I had a bit of a read through of the FAQ and noticed one thing - the FAQ states that if someone is wearing Warpstone armor and Armor saves a wound it inflicted on itself (As per rathound, maybe) the model itself receives the S4 hit. Now, this is a hit made by the model itself and can, once more, be armor saved, creating another hit. So on and so forth until either the to wound roll fails or the armor save, but technically it can go up to infinity.
I wonder if anyone has already suffered from this?

I have never fielded my warpstone warlord with a self damaging item beofore so no, but I'd imagine most opponents (at least the good ones who you want to play against anyways) will agree that it will only hit him once, but anyways, the chain end as soon as he fails an AS. You could, if the other player is too stuborn about it, just give him a wound and stop rolling dice, since he wont make his armour save for ann eterinity (and would make fo a horibbly boring game if you rolled all of them out).

Playing skaven to minimize randomness is like going to prom with your sister, you can do it if you really want, but in the end everyone will still laugh even if you do get lucky.

I always take at least one Warpfire Thrower. You can't always rely on your opponent to do massive damage to your troops. Sometimes, you just have to do a job yourself.

Stolen from DakkaDakka:
"Warpstone armor specifically says it inflicts the S4 attack against "the model that struck the blow", but also mentions that it only works against blows struck in close combat. It could be argued that the armor hurting its wearer is not a close combat attack, and thus a successful save wouldn't generate another hit."

+1

I would agree it's not a close combat attack and therefore another hit wouldn't be generated

Well, technically it is a blow struck in combat that just doesn't happen to be a close combat attack. EIther way, I don't think it really matters.

Don't forget that you need to wound yourself too. So the loop will not continue in an eternity since you will most likely fail the 4+ to wound before the 3+Sv with reroll (assuming you field the lovely combo of Dawnstone, Warlitter, Shield, Warpstone Armour).

Yes, but the armour strikes the blow, unlike rathounds that give you +1 attack. as such, the target would be the armour itself and would end.
