I'd say this depends on the rest of your list, really. |

I've yet to use either but at the moment I'm planning one of each. Variety is the cheese of life! |

I'd go with the Doomwheel. Force your opponent to make decisions on which big nasty he's more worried about. |

I would say one cannon is enough as it is easy to protect and you only really need one. scarr |

I'd have to agree with Pestilent Lord on this, espically since your using an abom. At least one or the other will make it to the enemy, but either way your opponent is going to have to make a choice on which of these high toughness/high wound pieces he wants to concentrate on. |

Yeah, another vote for the Doomwheel/Cannon combo. I use that with an HPA and usually one of my baddies makes it to combat. Typically I'll deploy them on opposite sides of the board, both coming around on my opponent's flanks. Even against Dwarves, its usually enough to divide the firepower so that both of them may take a couple wounds, but not enough to kill them. |

Though I'm not an expert in any way, I'd probably go with the Doomwheel and the WLC. |

I go with 1 doomwheel, 1 cannon, 1 abomination. Mostly because that is all I have bought and painted. |

Am I the only one whose doomwheels don't do jack in 8th? Don't get me wrong, I loved them in 7th. Fielded one every game, in fact. But without the ability to break ranks, I'm not a huge fan anymore, unless I'm playing Elves, Lizardmen, or some other race I expect to have a monster that doesn't take well to the lightning. Maybe demons, but I'd expect it to get magicked to death with ease or confronted by one of their scary stupid-fast heroes or lords. I guess it slaughters Ogres, too, but meh. They're Ogres. And I guess it can harass Warriors and Beastmen kind of well since they have a few rare choices that are weak to the wheel, and more often than not they don't have jack worth shooting. I'd take the cannons on the grounds that they're more unreliable, but nonetheless incredibly devastating and significantly more versatile. But that's just me. MUTATE: I misread the poll, I'd take the wheel plus a cannon over two cannons. |
