How many weapons teams/warmachines?

Simple question: How many of these units do you typically include in your Skaven army? In my 2500pt army I typically run 1 WFT, 1 mortar, 1 PCC, 1 cannon, and 1 doomwheel (which I guess counts as a warmachine, sorta).

However, I find that much of my shooting is either destroyed very quickly or simply fails to do much damage. The only unit that ever makes back its points on a consistent basis is the wheel.

Anyone else have similar experiences?

In most 2500 point games, I run the Wheel, the PCC, a WLC and an HPA. I usually bring 3 weapons teams, typically a PWM and two WFTs.

The PCC always fails, the WLC mostly fails, the PWM never succeeds and the WFTS usually blow up my own guys. The Wheel and the HPA are solid performers, though.

In 2250 (never played @2500) I field 2 PCCa and 2 WLCs but not a big fan of weapons teams as I only have what came in the IoB box and they get destroyed right quick. I find that fielding single PCCs or WLC doesn't work all that well but in pairs they can really do some damage. if one misses or blows itself up there's another there to back it up or if one hits it's target you have the option to blast the same unit again or distribute more pain. Over all, the PCCs don't always pull their weight but they're fun and the threat they cause can be very useful.
TRADE
I'm looking for Dark Eldar to convert into DE. Also looking for bretonnia lances and halberds. If anyone has any they would be interested in trading PM me and we can work something out.

"And, most vivid of all, there was the dramatic epic of the rats––the scampering army of obscene vermin which had burst forth from the castle three months after the tragedy that doomed it to desertion––the lean, filthy, ravenous army which had swept all before it and devoured fowl, cats, dogs, hogs, sheep and even two hapless human beings before its fury was spent. Around that unforgettable rodent army a whole separate cycle of myths revolves, for it scattered among the village homes and brought curses and horrors in its train."

I'm a fellow IoB newbie. I'm starting to run 2 WLC's, 2 Doomwheels, 2 WFT's and 1 PWM in a 2500 point list. I used to run with 2 or more mortars, but I'm getting away from using them. I had ridiculous 75% success rates with them in my first few games, but since then they've been terrible, like 20% hit rates. Warpfire throwers are much more reliable, though that's not saying much. Also, my cannons have been really effective until this last game, where I did not get ONE kill with them even when rolling strength 6-10! I'd either roll 1's to wound or the 2nd roll would misfire and stick in the ground...not. one. wound...except against my other cannon that is...

In 4000 point games I field 3 weapon teams, a WLC and a doomwheel. Who needs guns when you can swamp the board with bodies.
When the going gets weird, the weird turn pro.

But we can do both Dev

I think I'm running 3-4 in my projected 2K list, in various combinations depending on my whims.
