Just came home from a tourney where i fielded my Screaming Bell for the first time. These questions came up and I would like to hear other your thoughts about them. 1) If a Grey Seer/Plague Priest gets the 2-4 Miscast, will the Bell/Furnance be removed along with the Wizard? 2) Will the enemy get the VP from the Seer/Priest even if the Bell/Furnance is alive at the end of game? 3) If the Grey Seer/Plague Priest is the army general and dies, while the Bell/Furnance is alive, does your general count as dead for the Meeting Engagement scenario? (I think that's the one with Fortitude/Breaking Points things) Since we played with the Bell being a single multi-part model we ruled question number 2 & 3 to be a No, aswell as Number 1 since it quite clear says that it's the Wizard that gets removed not unit/model. |

1.) No, the same as if the Grey Seer / Plague Priest is killed by a cannonball but the Bell / Furnace is not. 2.) I'm thinking you'd have to kill both to get the VP, as the towers can only be bought with the wizard. It's all the same lord/hero slot. 3.) Tougher - RAW, probably no, but since the general is dead, you'd think he'd count as being dead. |

If you roll the miscast that removes the seer it does not remove the bell You dont get vps for a character on a mount until both are dead as per the main rule book If your general is killed he counts as killed for the scenario - the character is the general not the bell. You do end up with some strange results like at a tournie I was at recently where my opponent got 100pts for killing my general but no vps for him as the bell wss still alive |

Daniel cannot possibly exist in a dimensional state. Recent studies show that people who have attempted to comprehend Daniel have either disappeared, died spontaneously, or driven themselves into a pertinent state of insanity and/or catatonia. <img src="http://www.heresy-online.net/daemons/adoptables/23041.gif" alt="Broken Adoptable Image" /><br><a href="http://www.heresy-online.net/daemons/levelup/23041-dark-whisper.htm" title="Level up this Daemon!">Level up Adoptable!</a> | |

Another question came up in a game when I was fighting Deamons. Instead of making a third Bell/Furnance question topic I'll continue here. The question is, which unit type does the Seer/Priest have while on the Bell/Furnance? My Plague Monks, with a Furnance, charged a unit of Bloodletters and during the combat a sneaky Bloodletter scored a Killing Blow on my Plague Priest. My opponent claimed that the Priest was still an infantry model, even though he was mounted upon a Unique mount.I couldn't find anything that said otherwise, so I let him cleave the poor rat:( |

Q. Which unit type does the Seer/Priest have while on the Bell/Furnance? This is a good question, as I believe it is different for the Furnace and the Bell. Due to the stats, the Plague Priest appears to be, as your opponent said, an Infantry unit. He is unfortunately positioned at the front of the Furnace, standing on a platform. I would rate him as normal Infantry. However, with the Grey Seer and the Bell it's a completely different story. Unlike the Furnace, the Grey Seer gets a 6+ Armor Save from Bell. This is very much in line with the rules of 'Ridden Monsters' and relates that the Seer is actually 'riding' the Bell while the Plague Priest is merely standing on it. I'd accept Killing Blows and Challanges for a Priest on a Furnace, but not for a Grey Seer on a Bell. |

I disagree, Kiling Blow will work on both BRB FAQ page page 6, second entry: Q: Does Killing Blow work against a mounted character regardless of what he is mounted on? (p72) A: Yes, as long as the character would count as an infantry model if it wasn’t mounted. |

Umm... So Killing Blow will work on any character regardless of mount? Seems weird that you can KB a Herald of Khorne on Juggernaut, but not being able to KB a normal Blodletter on Juggernaut. But rules are rules I guess... ^^ |
